A new mystery begins… and we’re introduced to a shifty-looking (but beautiful) blonde femme fatale.
Stuff happens so make sure you enjoy this weeks slightly less late episode of Gosick!
Also Grevil was changed to Glaviel and Cecile to Cecil, re: official spelling on gosick.tv.
Scripts will be all updated for consistency for the mid-series batch (24 ep series, so after episode 12).
We were forced to admit this weeks CR script to the OR but thanks to our excellent surgeon, the operation was a success!

First! Also, I did notice CR screwed a heck of a lot of things over this week. Missing words, typos, all sorts of shit.

2. Thanks for the release __ar, 4am. Good stuff mate, thanks for all the hard work again. You can sleep now.

Thanks for the quick release!

4. Awesome.
RE: poll, can I have a “all of the above” option?

5. @penguin
Yeah there was quite a lot of wording issues and sentence structure problems, unlike any of the previous scripts. Raze went through and fixed it all up.
@Zanz
Yattttttta~ I guess I can sleep now! Lucky I don’t have work this week!

6. oh god? seriously? this early? oh god, that’s why i love the staffs in this group, they’re so good. anyway thanks for a great release as usual. definitely the best. ^^

Wonderful quick release. You are the best!!

12. Thanks for the fast release of this episode in Xvid~!
Notice some small errors or odd sentences while viewing:
02.55: ‘Whoa, what am I thinking?’ instead of ‘Whoa, what I am thinking?’
04.30: ‘It’s about time you confess,’ instead of ‘It’s about time you fessed up’
11.49: ‘Sir Bradley’ instead of ‘Lord Bradley’
I’m not trying to offend the TLC/EDIT/QC of Gosick, just pointing out some errors that I feel isn’t right. Guess the CR script of this episode is seriously screwed up.

Thanks for another one ar.

15. Leon-Gun on January 30, 2011 at 8:39 pm said:

@Narru:
The last two seem fine. While “‘fessed up” is indeed not a correct word, it is a commonly used phrase. Now whether it SHOULD have been used is something the team decides, although I would have gone with the proper “confess” to keep the more high class vibe. The last one is entirely subjective. I’m pretty sure Lords are called Sir too.

16. Schezza on January 30, 2011 at 9:33 pm said:

Thanksssss brothers and sisters!

17. Well without a utw ‘surgeon’ that script would die each and every time imo
nice job guys

18. @Leon-Gun:
Yeah I agree that apart from the first one, the other two are really subjective. Also agree with your thought of ‘although I would have gone with the proper β€œconfess” to keep the more high class vibe’. As for the last one, since we did clearly heard the word ‘Sir’, I thought it be better to stick to that. But well, the person who did the work have the last say, I’m just grateful it’s done and out so fast for us leechers to enjoy looking the marvelous expressions of Victorique(Yes I type her name this way on purpose XD).

19. Is it just me? The audio at 15:27 kind of…paused a bit. Or is that supposed to happen?

Thank you! WELL DONE!

Coalgirls is ruining your Yosuga no Sora subs with their awful blu-ray encode.

23. @guibin says: I would say it’s probably just you. I just checked on my craptop and I didn’t get any audio-skipage/pausing on there. Perhaps reinstall your codec pack (CCCP)?

Hayyyy thanks for this <3

25. Thanks as always guys!
Also:
lol at UFW having the new UTW banner as well
26. Video Lag Again on January 31, 2011 at 3:33 am said:

@guibin
The same thing happened on this week’s To Aru Majutsu no Index II (when the karaoke started around 21:22)
I think it has something to do with the sub, in this case, the sub on the book for this episode
I hope this will be fixed soon πŸ™

27. penguin-fever on January 31, 2011 at 3:44 am said:

No lag here on a Core i7 965 @ 4.9Ghz.
But then again, there better not be. πŸ˜›

@penguin-fever
I be jelly.
Great job ar! Hope you get some sleep.

29. @Video Lag Again/guibin
All I can recommend is upgrading your vobsub to this version.
Here for 32-bit.
http://xhmikosr.1f0.de/mpc-hc_apps/DirectVobSub_2.40.2834_x86.exe
Here for 64-bit.
http://xhmikosr.1f0.de/mpc-hc_apps/DirectVobSub_2.40.2834_x64.exe
If this fails to fix it then I guess it’s time to upgrade your pc lol~

30. Thank a bunch
Avril doesn’t sound as cute as I expected πŸ™

31. will'o'wisp on January 31, 2011 at 9:17 am said:

thanks for the release guys! its much appreciated

32. guibin on February 1, 2011 at 3:50 am said:

@ar
Thanks. It worked.
And I better not have to upgrade my PC. I just bought this last year, I’m pretty sure even with all these evolving technology, it should still be enough. lol
arEdit: Glad it worked mate! These new builds based on mpc-hc sub renderer code are a lot faster overall.

33. Salinador on February 1, 2011 at 4:32 am said:

Bring back the Amagami banner!!! Also, love this new season’s releases, keep up the great work!

34. Twentyfaces on February 1, 2011 at 10:04 am said:

I agree with Salindor! All of the Amagami girls are cuter than index and chibi-teacher-who’s-I-always-forget.
But still, thanks for the release.

35. @ar
for the new vobsub build; it has the subpicture prebuffer on by default.

36. @anon
It’s selectable in the setup iirc under tweaks. I never use it myself, but if that being enabled by default helps people it’s fine by me!

37. Video Lag No More on February 1, 2011 at 9:16 pm said:

@ar
Okay it worked nicely, no more video lag, thanks!

38. Brainchild on February 3, 2011 at 3:23 am said:

I just happened to watch the ending of episode 4, and it sounds “labyrinth’s emotional grief.” It doesn’t sound like the singer says the full “grieving.” Anyway, cool show so far. Victorica is just too cute.

39. Personally speaking, I’d go for leaving all the honorifics in, as subs should only take into account what is said, not the context, setting or anything. Even if it is set in England, China, France or whatnot, the characters still say Kujo-kun.
Looking at it from the reverse, the subtitles of an American show/cartoon don’t arbitrarily add -san, -chan, -kun, -sama just because it is set in Japan.
Just my personal opinion, brilliant release in all other accounts.
