They said we died (they weren’t completely wrong) and they said we would never release the blu-rays (they probably did and they were wrong!).
As previously stated there’s only a 1080p release, because well, that’s all I felt like doing for various reasons. If you really need 720p then I’m sure some fine gentleperson will come through and put out a 720p release with our scripts.
So if anybody wants them, feel free to ping me or Xythar on irc for them. I don’t exactly have access to the script repo, and I don’t think anybody else does either.

Because I don’t see the point of the ncop/eds to be honest, they should easily be available on nyaa in the raw sets for this season if you really want them.

Is UBW animated above 720p enough to warrant a 1080p release like this? It looks like it in the CR video but for the sake of my hard drive is it significantly more clear in the BDs because CR’s max size is around 553 MB

That aside… ar, why would NCOP/NCED be dumb? I fully agree that using ordered chapters to insert them (or worse, splicing them into the episode) is super dumb, especially because I sometimes need to look at the credits to extract information and that doesn’t make it any easier (not like taking understandable information from the runes wasn’t hard enough to me already), but I don’t see what is wrong with releasing them as separate files.

Thanks for the release! Is there any extra footage compared to the TV release? I believe so far in S2, that about 12 mins or so of footage has been cut, so I have no idea if they include cut footage in the blu-ray releases.

Wow, nice, did not expect this. Thanks! Bit disappointed about no NCED and NCOP (I for one enjoy watching clean versions of the openings and ED’s without credits at least once), but I’ll just grab them from some other torrent on Nyaa I guess. Aisu64 seems a good choice. Also, how come several people here have bandwith caps in this day and age? Can’t you all get a normal internet connection that doesn’t have a cap, like the rest of us? Or are you downloading from your school or dorm or something? I’m not criticising, I’m just curious. I can’t imagine there are all that many countries left in the world that provide internet services for people, but that do not have an option to get a connection without a cap. :-/
As someone already pointed above, I’d like to know if there’s truly a huge gap of quality between a 720p version and this encode. Mostly just out of curiosity, since if there’s really an improvement, I’d gladly just download this version (which is the definitive one, right?).

Sorry for the double post, but I ended up downloading the torrent myself and checking the length of the eps and there’s only maybe about 5 min or so of extra footage across all 13 eps. I’m hoping for more from S2, considering it feels a bit rushed. Also, no specials like the Einzbern Consultation Rooms for Fate Zero? I really enjoyed those. š

@Rokudaime – My service isn’t really “capped” per se, it’s just that Comcast wants to bill me $10 for an additional 50GB block if I exceed 300GB up/down traffic in a calendar month. They’re the fastest residential ISP in my area (105 Mbps download), and although I’m a heavy user it’s not usually a problem to stay under the limit. Even with this big chunk done late in the month, I’ll probably squeak by for April.
Now you tell me, just right after I used up all my allotted monthly bandwidth to DL up to Episode 15. Yes, bandwidth caps still exist.
Instead of DL all in one go, will have to tweak uTorrent to DL the episodes separately once every week, which should be just enough go under the ISP’s radar.

The ED is the same all the way through isn’t it? This release just pops over 22.5 GiB at 22.9 and so won’t quite fit on a bd-r. Chapter 09 on eps 01-06 at least and followed by a coming soon.
Could this not have been ordered chapters? Could their be an officialish clippy patch?
As it is I will be butchering 01-06 in mkvtools so it will fit.

Haven’t checked the other eps. yet, but for ep. 02 it’s a longer opening scene at the 24s mark until the OP and at the 8m 50s mark that ends at 10m 40s.

Yo Man00ver, Comcast Residental is shit. Go with Comcast Business Class, you pay 10 dollars more for uncapped bandwidth, business class Internet line (no drops, constant speed, no bursts, all ports open which is great for gaming and torrenting, priority techs upon call).
Been with Comcast Business for 5+ years, download/upload over 2-4TB a month. Google Comcast Business Contact and it should be the first link.

Thanks Tatsujin, I might check into it…but I don’t bump the cap all the time, and I’d probably rather pay $10 extra on the occasional month than every month. I don’t have any of the other problems you mentioned and the service is pretty sweet on the whole. Plus, Comcast is supposedly bringing out 2Gbps service on fiber-to-the-home next month, so I’ll probably wait to see what the cost (and bandwidth limits) would be for that instead. Vroom!

I don’t know much about audio codecs, but what is a good format to remux these flacs into to save space? I used AAC-LC with fdkaac and 192kbps CBR.
What do groups usually use?
uh, i normally use qaac (based on quicktimes aac encoder), and output aac-lc with the args: -V 127 –threading –no-delay
Should give a similar size to somewhere between 192 and 256kbps CBR. I believe it might even support FLAC files as input too.

There’s an unfinished sentence at Episode 10 Chapter 01. It only said “His body builf of blades” without comma, dots, or anything after that and just went to a scene transition.

Because removing them is more trouble than its worth, and they have no impact on playback whatsoever.
Why would you *not* want them left in? Sometimes people enjoy reading them and you have to go out of your way to do so in the first place.
Why are people so incompetent in encoding base on standards? Isn’t it very easy to follow simple instructions? High 10@L4.1 seriously? High 10@L5.0 for TV and High 10@L5.1 for BD. Isn’t those simple?
