  1. I bet they thoroughly enjoyed the episode a lot since they were watching it live. Thanks for the release!

  2. All is good. But, damn, this is one fine piece of upright next to the TV. But we all know we like em grand.

  3. You’re FAST! I got the raw from Nyaa within 2 minutes of it being posted (and you use caps if I’m not mistaken), watched it, and went back to Nyaa and there was your torrent. Amazing.

  4. Having watched a lot of anime when I was in Japan I agree there is something special about it!

  5. I’m literally imagining The Accelerator’s laugh coming through those sexy speakers. (and his psycho looks from that big ass screen)
    *head explodes*

  6. What time does this air in Japan? I thought all new anime aired in the early hours of the day (12 AM, 2 AM, etc) and if so, you’re really impressive for watching that late πŸ™‚

  7. Thanks for the ep!
Wasn’t as good as previous one, but still fine. I’m not sure, though, whether I like how they’re chopping some small bits. Pace is a bit rushed and if you haven’t seen the events in Index already and/or read it in manga, not everything may be clear.

Anyway, I don’t like how he can keep things floating in the air even though he’s not touching them (I mean before he realizes that he can manipulate air too), because it’s not what he believes he can do, thus he should realize air manipulation possibility much much earlier. It’s blatant flaw in the plot.

    @asd
    Nice setup indeed.
    @flupperman
That’s the thing I noticed almost immediately too. Well, when you live above the average standard, you have to put some things in your salon, like grand piano or at least harpsichord, which makes it a bit less empty and quite more swanky, isn’t it? πŸ™‚
Just kidding. Why is there a piano? To play, obviously. Maybe they’ll playing along with the “Sister’s noise” live? Something like:

    Who knows…

  8. aosiphgpoiuqhaewoptqhwpoetqwhepothpqotwopqtopiqwehtpowqhte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why they gotta make me sad by cutting it into two parts, this was worth a double showing hour long special episode; so epic!

  9. Did we ever get confirmation on whether fotc was both sane and human? Because I think this image might be a fake. >.>

  10. Doesn’t seem like all of them, theres got to be at least 20 people working on translating working on translation to translate episodes so quickly.

  11. Still nice. But all together, I can finally say that I like first season of Railgun better. For my personal taste, the whole arc is stretched about 3 or 4 epsiodes too long. As well as I prefer the Index version of that fight. Except the plasma ball.
Nevertheless, thank you guys for your awesome translating and stuff.

  12. @Ruiko Saten
You’re only saying that because you had more screen time in season 1 than you did this season

  13. Looks like my setup. Well, minus the piano πŸ™‚
Decent speakers make quite a difference.
I like this series so far, except that (like some others also said here) they seem to stretch everything a bit.

  14. I say this was a great episode and I don’t care how many episodes they want to spend on this arc. If they decided to rush this conclusion then people would have been upset about that. It’s just damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
Anyways the episode itself was awesome. Lot of fun watching this Touma vs. Accelerator showdown. But also how it isn’t just about those two fighting it out. This arc is still about Mikoto and the Sisters and that did play a key role.
Can’t wait for the next episode since this arc is just keeping the level high throughout these last few episodes.

  15. Is UTW-Mazui going to do this new Monogatari season? Please do! I can’t stand Commie’s poor quality after getting used to your great releases. Thanks!
Touma (with a little help from his friends) vs. Accelerator is still one of the all-time epic anime fights.

  16. Enjoy this episode? Really?! REALLY?!!
This season of Railgun is disgusting. WHERE IS THE FANSERVICE? Nowhere in sight.
Instead we have “fighting” scene stretched over “infinite 8” episodes, where, after each body movement, the characters freeze and deliver a speech about meaning of life.
Then another step – and another speech about human relationships. One more step – one more speech.
    Ice cream.

I’ve never really liked the Railgun or Index series very much. It’s there. I watch it.
Misaka’s friends are all insufferable assholes and/or idiots.
    Nobody takes lethal force seriously.
Quantum mechanics does not work that way.
Game tokens fired from a rail gun is more likely to fragment than puncture a hole through steel, and would probably be inaccurate to boot.
I’m wondering why the light novels are as popular as they are.

  18. @Chris
Your points are valid pretty much for any action/”scifi” anime, or, any action/scifi/superhero Hollywood production.
Aren’t light novels popular because they are … mmmm … for kids who don’t know kanji enough?
I liked Railgun 1 because of “cute girls doing cute things”, but this season is definitely a simple kiddy-grade anime.
    I am just frustrated.

  19. Never knew fanservice was ever present here… >_> ( Save for low angle shots )
Not really that great ‘o a show for me as well… But hey…
For now… Its ALL GOOD!! πŸ˜€

  20. @przemoc
No, there is no such plot hole. Accelerator didn’t keep things floating in the air, he just had them rise very slowly and then fall abruptly. Remember, his character is ALL about intimidation so that people never, ever want to fight him, and with his degree of control over vectors, making something rise slowly and then fall quickly is well within his powers even before he figures that out.

  21. True they got to see it live. But; due note, I’m sure they had to view the commercials, while painstakingly waiting to return to the episode to see what happens next. πŸ˜›

  22. The Mazui guys have a nice setup. I’m happy to say that I watch anime on something very similar. One of the great pleasures in life is having a really awesome home theater.

  23. @Dri
There very much is a plot hole. It’s patched-over somewhat by the playing Accelerator off as toying with his prey,
He’s still a guy who can completely reverse the vector of a bullet fired from a handgun on a whim. He also seems to be able to make his own kinetic energy, which means he doesn’t need to rely on gravity or anything else to get things moving.
In other words, he’s in a lot full of gravel and can kill anybody at any time by making shrapnel whenever he wants from a handful of gravel. He just . . . doesn’t.

  24. Hi! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers?
I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on.
    Any recommendations?
