It’s a 1-cour show, 13 episodes. And yeah it does feel rushed, mainly because it seems there’ll be 2 episodes for each chapter in the game (there are 6), one for murder/investigation, and one for the class trial/execution. Sadly this tight schedule means that stuff like Free time events from the game are mostly cut. Other than being rather rushed in pace, the anime feels like it keeps true to the games.
Wow there’s a lot of video lag during Naegi’s rebuttal bullets. I must have something wrong with my settings, but nothing seems to be working. (WhyNot subs’ MPC settings actually made it worse…)
I got audio lag in the end credits of the previous ep too so… is it my computer then? * n* I don’t think it’s your guys’ fault it’s just an observation…
Still though, it’s nice to see the way the subtitles fit in with the game-like elements.

Not pleased with the execution being censored I went and looked up the version in the game, and it was way better but its quite annoying as you have to cover all the other videos on the screen on youtube as they all contain spoliers for whos going to be executed next aka the next murderer. And as for knowing who the murderer was half way through episode 2, Yeah it was easy to see, but you have to remember it is based off a game and games tend to start easy for the player. But i found it more fun making up a theory in what happened while i was waiting for this episode and most of what i thought was right
@Plopiesox easy games are not worth the playthrough. Go play some real game like Ghost n Goblins or Dark Souls.

Been playing this game ever since the 2nd episode and I get all wakuwaku when the Class Trials begin but you know the one thing that the animation does miss out on is the manga panel song is Climax Reasoning or Inference or Logic from the translated ver. Whatever it is the song is GOOOD!
I can't tell you enough I thoroughly enjoy you guys subbing it and watching what will happen next after playing the game (although tbqh I'm spoiling the shit out of myself esp knowing who the mastermind is), but that's HERE NOR THERE!
Game is awesome! You guys are equally awesome and the guy who plays the VA for Doremon is ALL TYPES OF AWESOME!

Oh and totally last thing, I just LOVED how they threw in that esper line after Maizono kept teasing him (throughout the game mind you) that she’s an esper. Too bad she wasn’t as nice as she looked. If I was Naegi I’d tapped that a long time ago.
I started playing the game after the second episode as well. As mentioned before the show rushes and therefore skips parts of the story. For what has been seen so far in the show they’ve gotten rid of free time and they have skipped some of the clues that help them make some of their conclusions.
So if you really like the show I would suggest playing the game. Either by the game in Japanese or wait until the official English version comes out early 2014. Or if you’re impatient for the English version get the fan-made English patch and buy the game when it comes out in English if you liked it at all to support the makers.

@kildat020: Hey! When I plaed it and looked at 11037 I was stumped. I even turned it around on my phone and still was stumped but it took till the end of the class trial that the two 11s formed an N. After getting the AHA! moment, I knew who it was. But damnit I loved Leon’s design! Why couldn’t Maizono call him in for a hump session. I mean he was pretty popular with the girls and he wanted to become a rock star instead of an athlete!
Anyway I’m getting all nerdy like Yamada Hifumi because I can’t contain my love for this show no longer! Definitely doing the BDs giving this show the proper love it deserves, and more then likely will hire/find people and do a parody as well!

Does it help UTW (or any fansub) if I seed torrents instead of just leeching XDCC? Would it be preferred to seed torrents? I only ask because I get relatively good speeds either way so I don’t mind just using torrents and seeding them.

Anyway, all this game stuff is a bit offputting. Like the “Evidence get!” and loading ammunition and stuff feels really weird for an anime ‘adaptation’. It’s like watching someone play the game and skipping most of the dialog instead of recreating it.

Firstly I am truly sorry for the late response.
Secondly, I can’t help being confused by your response, I don’t recall asking for your opinion on what kind of games are worth playing, nor do I recall mentioning what kind of games I play for you to recommend those two games for me.
But since you have shifted our conversation towards hard games I guess I shall go along with it.
Ghost n Goblins, never played but I have been meaning to get it on VC, it looks like a lot of fun.
Dark Souls, no interest in it, looks boring to me, no matter how hard it is.
But thank you for the recommendation I do value your opinion in gaming.
If you are a Zelda fan, i recommend the first two Zelda’s especially 2. Its challenging and fun since you seem to care about the difficulty of a game. Recent Zelda’s have become easy and honestly, this is coming from a Zelda fan, they are only good cause they carry the Zelda name, which is sad. But I digress, Zelda 2 is so much fun the feeling when you finish it is like no other, especially when you don’t crouch in a corner to defeat Dark Link, like so many people do. It’s just great.

I’d rather buy the Japanese version of the game and wait for the fan-translation. I’m extremely wary towards English versions of Japanese games, given how horribly Nisa butchered “Choujigen Game Neptune”… and that’s sadly not an isolated case.
