I think I’m running out of steam on witty(?) release copy. Plot advances, people sing, some other people dance. Yukiho digs a hole, Haruka doesn’t fall flat on her face, Hibiki doesn’t interpret the hamster language, Producer-san screws up… Takane continues to be wonderful comedic relief. Oh, and Ryuuguu Komachi plays a minor part somewhere in there.
Some things that wouldn’t fit in TL notes:
Ryuuguu Komachi (????): literally means “Beauties from the Palace of the Dragon King.” Ryuuguu Castle itself is a reference to the underwater castle that appears in the folk tale of Urashima Tarou, which you can wiki for more information (including the ‘treasure box’ that shows up in Kotori’s daydream).
Minase (??), Miura (??), Futami (??): Chief mentions during an interview that the three Ryuuguu members’ family names involve water, which gave Ritsuko the idea to use name Ryuuguu Komachi. The characters in their family names mean, respectively: ?? water shoal, ?? three inlet, and ?? twin sea. Haruka, who was indignant at being left out, bears the family name Amami (?? ), which uses the characters for heaven and sea.
A message from Daiz, the encoder and typesetter of the episode: My personal apologies for the delay. Sickness and typesetting hell just isn’t a very good combination.

I thought the relationship was due to the fact that the kanji have the ? bushu, and not the meaning of the names.

Everyone, the Daiz voodoo dolls are malfunctioning: We want sharp stabbing random pains, not chronic illnesses. So move back to the commander’a voodoo dolls this week. Try especially working the eyes.

Does anyone else have an issue with the Opening? I’m not getting any subs on it on either track. Using MPC-HD from the new CCCP pack and CoreAVC.

If i play in MPC with CCCP i see a different problem for me at the beginning of the video being.For the first few seconds its laggy and a few seconds of no sound.If i use VLC theres no problem

The lack of opening lyrics is caused simply by the fact that they aren’t there to begin with. Kusion forgot to shift and include the lyrics in the episode’s songs file.

I tried that before. The reason I don’t use it is because it makes the edges of the fonts jagged. I can put up with the occasional lag, but not the ugly fonts. Time to save up for that i7.

well, unfortunately, i noticed that dxva doesn’t activate when playing this video( some does, but not this one) so it’s quite pointless. So I’m not exempted with the Whiteboard of Death. :))
Uh, why is it that your typesetting at the beginning of the ep causes my computer to lag but Doki’s doesn’t?
Got the same problem with the “Whiteboard of Death,” luckly it’s only in a few scenes so the episode is still watchable

This is unofficial and if you have lag anywhere else thats not my problem lol. I only had lag at the start. Also there is no OP again because that’s got nothing to do with me. This just fixes up the lag on the whiteboard.
yeah, like i said, a long time ago, everytime the whiteboard is in view, video lags like shit. reason, though is probably due to the fact there’s so much to translate.
Lag on the whiteboard? doesn’t happen to me. I watched the episode again, and the whiteboard scenes makes the signs and subs flicker quite often for less than a second. Nothing as bad as “lagging.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lag)
actually I do not have any lag at the “whiteboard of death” either – I just called it that way because it must have been very annoying to write/place all that text lol

The typesetting is not fucked in any way, your computer/playback solution just isn’t good enough to play it in realtime. The first thing to do would be to ensure that your playback solution (eg. CCCP) is up to date.
For the lack of OP karaoke, it was kusion who forgot to shift and include it.
Hope that next episode will be subbed as fast as possible….
