So much for trying to get the first episode out before leaving for work (about 6 hours after airing). It was actually translated and timed well before that, but it got delayed because of… you guessed it, typesetting. Among disasters such as broken software, fnord having to go to bed and leaving ar with the signs, and general herpderp, the episode was a giant pain in the ass to typeset and of course, ar just had to get everything right (and we love him for it).
Either way, itโs out now! More Ayatsuji-san is always welcome, especially in the bathroom.
Weโll look to see how we can iron out the kinks in our subbing process before the next episode airs, so itโs safe to say you can expect a reasonably speedy (if not lightning-fast) release next week.

Could be a problem with libass or mplayer2, in which case it probably only affects Linux users. Still, thought I’d point it out just in case.
Experiencing the same problem as Angel; the typesetting seems to be messed up at certain places near the signboard. Using VLC 1.2 on Windows 7. (and yes I also have MPC, but I have problems getting it to work on my computer. It shits out like an acid trip.)
I feel bad saying this because apparently your typesetter worked hard, but messing up typesetting that is crucial to the story plot (the pre-election results, etc.) is too egregious to overlook.

Yeah they are libass bugs. We only test on vsfilter since that is the reference ass subtitle renderer. Not much we can do there unfortunately ._.

If you are on Windows, just extract the patch into the same directory as the mkv, and run the included -win.bat to patch.
I downloaded cccp long time ago. I tried downloading again but it could not uninstall and manual uninstall says file is corrupted

Mkvtoolnix 5.2.0 had the same issue, and going back to 3.4.0 solved the issue with the font bug.

You know, those karaoke supertitles are really friggin’ huge. They must take up about one fifth of the screen and don’t even accomplish anything. I have ears, which make the song transcription pointless, and if I could read the kanji, I wouldn’t need a fansub. Can’t you folks offer a separate subtitle track which just has the translation in a plain font, similar to what the main dialogue uses? It would be pretty great not to have to turn the subs on and off four times per video.
Never let it be said I’m completely ungrateful, though. Having the thing softsubbed is infinitely preferable to that hardsubbed nonsense, which is just wanktastic graffiti.
BTW it’s “mouthguard”, not “mouthpiece”. A mouthpiece is something wind instruments have.

Great episode, but everything looked very 8 bit-ish, and then I mean crappy transitions of colors. Is it just me or do others have this too? This hasn’t happened before and MPC has never given me any kind of trouble.

I have no experiencing any problem with the release but if I applied the patch the file got corrupted
from 272mb it’s reduced to 253mb and stopped playing at the end

Thanks for the release UTW. I just have a question. I experienced a lag at the 04:47-04:52 minute mark wherein there is a typeset made on the blackboard for the election thing. What could possibly be the problem? I had no problem playing 720P before and I am using the latest CCCP pack.
Is the problem fixed in the release after the patch? I didn’t see any problems with the OP styles.

It would appear that your player is unable to decode the video. Make sure your computer and player are capable of decoding Hi10P (VLC 1.1.x, for instance, can’t do that, while nightly betas of VLC 1.2 can) in order to watch the HD version. Otherwise, just use the SD version.
Just like to add that I’m another one of the several here who have problems with lag during the “names on blackboard” scene. Latest CCCP with MPC used.
