And that is a wraaaaaaaaaaaaap! After working on this series for 15 months, I can finally say this wraps it all up. It’s been a long run, and I enjoyed the series, and I hope you guys did too.
This batch contains the whole series, episodes 1-24, which came on 12 Blu-ray volumes. There is a v2 for episode 17 to fix a missing line, and episodes 1-4 got renamed for consistency. I’ve supplied a patch for episode 17, but I’m not going to make one to rename episodes 1-4, rename them yourselves~
Also I won’t be doing DDLs because DF = slow, and DDLAnime is a joke to upload to (especially without ftp upload and its severely broken web ui), so use XDCC or torrents.
NB: I’ve added a patch for ep10 to add the missing locations font. This is not part of the batch torrent because nobody bothered telling me there was a problem, until NOW.

Don’t hate me for it, but I believe there is a typesetting error in episode 10 at 20:31, the font for the location translation is missing.

Why do people use DLL anyway? I mean torrents and XDCC are much faster and I honestly dunno why would someone use DLL.

Sometimes people at universities can’t torrent because of internet restrictions. As for why they don’t use XDCC, it’s probably just because they don’t know it exists or can’t figure out how to use IRC.

i also see people soemtimes who argue that “torrents are too slow” or soemthing. i guess they dont exactly udnerstand that the speed of torrents depeds on the number of seeders and thereofre their age. or those people are just stubborn to use new things?
What, are torrents one of those new things? I’ve been using torrents ever since I used interenet, like hell?
@Saki well there are just soem people who dont know of it because nobody told them of it. i encounter people who onlly stream and dont even know that they can download their naime directöly all the time,and when i explain them how it wworks, half of them simply doesnt want to switch even though it limits them a lot. you know about those streamsites that take money from their users to let them watch pirated stuff? they run only on the fatc that there are people who never get to know about stuff like that… and many people smply dont want to be educated, they dont want to switch to something that is “new” to them cuz theyve always been oign the other thing… i guess.
I have been using only torrents and DDL, Still new to XDCC. What does the downloading speed of XDCC depends on?

depends on how many people that accessing the bot/UTW xdcc at the same time.
lesser = faster
and also their queue capacity. bigger = faster too
I think AAC/AC3 go better with 720p, FLAC should be with 1080p releases..

You’re joking about XDCC speed vs DDL speed right?
I had 2 rapid accts and I could download files at my max speed (~2.1MB/s) using IDM(which can limit my download speed with ease). I haven’t gotten max speed using mIrc (~500KB – 800KB/s, and you can’t limit download speed with mIrc, =>must use another software to limit mIrc’s dl speed =>too much work + hassle).
P/s: Don’t use torrent so no opinion about it.
Also, if anyone is wondering why I need to limit dl speed, there’re thousand of reasons which do not need to be listed.

XDCC and DDL only until they’re done, then they’re making torrents. At least thats what ar told me.

@Rinne as far a si know, yes. the last two novels have been published together with the regardign parts of the anime, too. yes. (which is why, sadly, only the first 6 volumes are officially available here in germany and the last two not.. *sob*)
Out of topic, but the guys at r2raw.com uploaded the first volume of the tamayura hitotose bdmv.
I have basic DSL, so it was pretty slow for me to download all the previous BD batches. Is there any chance that you’ll release a batch with just ep. 21-24? Had I known that I would have re-download the entire series to get the final 4 episodes, I would have just waited for the final batch.

Whoops! Disregard my previous request. I just remembered that my torrent client allows to select which files to download! Rarely use this feature so I forgot!
I seem to being having trouble with the torrent batch. It doesn’t recognize files that I downloaded previously. The CRC numbers and file names match 100% but uTorrent doesn’t seem them as the same thing. I also tested the CRC and they are good. The episodes it doesn’t like are 1-4. Any ideas? I don’t have a lot of bandwidth to go redownload things again.

No, just download the torrent and select the files you want in your client.

Rename episodes 1-4, replace the [h264-720p_FLAC] with [h264-720p][FLAC].
That’s all you need to do.
Can someone tell me how to apply a patch? I tried googling it, but I didn’t get any useful results.

Download, extract the patch file, make sure the ep’s file name is correct (open the .bat file with Notepad to check the file name), then run the .bat file.

Sup mates, got a question I’ve been meaning to ask you fabulous dudes: What’s the difference between your Bluray Gosick subs and TV Gosick subs? Were there any new scenes to be subbed, changed lines, mistakes fixed or whatnot? Just thought I’d check before download since I got some nasty download caps weighing down on my soul and I’d like to know if the sub differences are big enough to commit my limited download. Thanks! （＾◡◡＾）

If you are interested in this show and now so much care about the quality of the show…(i mean 720p is very good already), then download the tv version. For most people, they already watched the entire series already and really like it… so they download the BD to archive…
If your have slow interest speed and have not watched this anime, i suggest you download the TV version. I dont know if the BD have extra scene or not… or a little changed lines or fixes…. but that overall should not change much of the enjoyment the anime has to offer. But if you end up really liking it.. and one of those people who wants the best quality(like me) to archive… then you can just download the BD version afterwards… You can just leave your computer on overnight to download… or ask a friend with fast internet speed to help you download LOL… (it is what i did…downloaded at 3mega bytes per second.. me so jelly!)

Open the torrent with utorrent or something, look at how Episode 1-4’s files are named, rename yours to that.
They should be renamed to the following format:
[Victorique]_Gosick_-_nn_[BD][h264-720p][FLAC][crcshere].mkv
where nn = episode number from 01 – 04, and crcshere = 8 character CRC32.
I really loved this series it was one of my favorites last year. Thanks for doing the BDs!

ah, so are you talking that the renaming doesn’t have to do with its subs in ep 1-4? wat I meant was if there were lines in the subs that needed to be renamed because you’re implying that it’s only the episode’s name and not w/ its subs.
I’m downloading in XDCC so i’m thinking ep 1-4 were already fixed in there?

It’s just simply filename fixes for episodes 1-4, that is all. The scripts are identical as is everything else, except the filename.

I have one quick question though.
I wanted to help seed, but there was a little problem. It was checking the files and they all checked out except for Episode 10. I have both Episode 10 AND ep 10v2, but the check said no ep 10. The titles matched so I ran a CRC. Episode 10 is supposedly corrupt, but Ep 10v2 is fine. Shouldn’t the patched Ep 10v2 be corrupt if the original Ep 10 is corrupt???
I was wondering if anyone was having audio problems with episodes 17, 19, 20, and 21. Let me know because all the other episodes are fine just those four.
If I download the batch, do I still have to apply the patches?
