There’s gunfire, death, and suprisingly enough the occasional pair of boobs.
Some may not care about the amazing story and colorful characters, (and hair, though the red hair’s still growing on me), but it’s still amazing. It’s actually a lot more violent than people give it credit for, it just seems to be packaged differently.
Hope I can nab the manga soon, the first chapter still cracks me up every day.

Sure the start may have been a bit slow, but as they say, you can’t go by first impressions alone. This show is definitely exciting!

I have to agree with wandering son being boring, or rather, not being for everyone. I just couldn’t get into it. The fact that it is quite noticeable that the anime began midway through the original story doesn’t help any and creates much confusion and exasperation at some events. Also, I still can’t see what the director of Fractale was crying about when comparing his work to Wandering Son. I personally consider WS to be a mess at times in plot direction and it assumes you have previous knowledge you are likely not to have.
As for my Opinion on Fractale itself. It’s quite bad at keeping a consistent storytelling going, and even the characters suffer from such inconsistencies, prime example being Phryne who starts with a personality much different to the one she exhibits later on when she returns (and it seems to change episode to episode as well). At least Clain is consistently useless.

I suspect that in this episode “air objects” should actually be “AR (Augmented Reality) objects.” Check the ads in the lower left corner at 9:16 and you’ll see a pale yellow one (it’s just above a woman wearing yellow and a man in a pink coat) advertising “AR furniture.” It’s not a major issue, but perhaps something to consider if you do v2s for a batch later.
I actually believed you that Clain’s sister will appear :P.

People find it boring because they can’t seem to fathom out the deep and serious storyline to it amongst the fictitious world in which Fractale is set. This is one of the few animé I’ve seen that actually has a serious storyline to it, and in my opinion I’d rate it as high as, if not a touch higher, than Gosick. This is a vastly under-appreciated gem, and probably the best show this season.
I am looking forward to the next episode with great interest. Many thanks for the release.

Woah best episode yet..
I don’t know if it’s intentional, or if whoever wrote this went on holiday there, or if theres a part of Japan that looks identical, or if its influenced by that attempt at an Earthsea movie, but the non-virtual landscape in this series looks so much like Scotland and the Western Isles it’s scary. Whichever genius decided to combine that with disintegrating cyberpunk has the most unlikely brain ever, but it works..
Full of ripoffs of many different things, but completely unpredictable. Also full of characters who look as if should be annoying, but aren’t because it’s so well written.
and dammit that city looked like something from Galaxy Express, wasn’t expecting that!

Well, I have just followed Fractale lately… I am not a fan of this series, to be honest, but since I have started it, it would be a waste not to finish it. The art is so-so, the plot itself is actually quite interesting, but I have to agree that the characters are somehow… weird. Especially Phryne. Thank you for subbing this anime, anyway. 🙂
And well, off the topic here, I wonder if you guys are in need of editors? I am somehow interested in working as editor for a anime fan-subbing group… As of now, I am also an editor at an Asian drama fan-subbing group. I just have a feeling that I want to try working as an editor in anime fan-subbing group as well. Sorry for the random question. 😛

To be honest, I’m extremely excited about where this show is going to go. I am a HUGE fan of X’amd lost memories, and this has a heavy feel of the same. Keep up the good work guys, i’m definitely going to be refreshing the main page till next weeks ep.
