   We used a 720p WMV niconico stream as the encoding source. The stream was quite good quality and ran around the ~850mb mark for video+audio @ 30fps. We removed all the duplicate frames inserted for streaming so it runs @ 24fps which is the native blu-ray framerate. It’s not perfect but it’s at least on par or a little worse than a typical transport stream.

   This is a WEB encode so no XviD, probably when we do the Blu-rays.
   @Everyone
   We’ll start doing 10bit releases full time most likely next season. As it is right now, stuff kinda works but not to the point where we want to start releasing them as a regular thing. Once FFDShow-Tryouts (OFFICIAL not CCCP)/CoreAVC have working decoders then I guess it’ll be full steam ahead. That’s about all I can say for the time being.

    Just a little thing, for the next episodes or the BD ver. (I don’t think just this makes an V2 needed)… Appleseed takes most of the naming from greek mythology, hence it’s not Hecaton-Kayle but Hecatoncheires, Hekatonkhires or the less anglified Hekatonkhiros…

    Ah, good old appleseed. Still, seriously, I don’t get what anyone is talking about with the whole boobjob thing. If it wasn’t for the description thing I would never have noticed (heck, even with the description thing, I didn’t notice until I remembered at the end of the episode). Then again, I really could care less if they made them bigger or smaller (as long as they don’t do anything absurdly silly), since honestly, the story is what attracts me to anime I like (though the art often helps).
    I must say that I rather like this season’s anime thus far. So the formula now is one action, one mystery/detective, and one VN/romance/light series eh? Or am I missing something XD . (Forgive me if my descriptions have failed)

    Good enough quality, watching on PS3 with showtime player.
    Not an hardcore fan of the series. But I loved Appleseed: The Beginning
    and Ex Machina Movies, also played Appleseed games for SNES and PS2.
    This episode I was cool. Although detailed I thought the characters art
    design especially Deunan’s new look were lame compared to the movies.

    Episode 2 is ready for release, and ep 3 is almost translated. Moshi has little time.
    The BD eps of 1-3 will be released together. Hopefully soon. It’s not dropped.
