As the chief culprit behind the delay, it falls to me to write this release post. There’s really not much I can say in my defense. I’ve tried to move my social obligations out of the way of Shinsekai Yori for the past months, but with it airing on a Friday evening, this wasn’t always possible.
I’ve enjoyed this show and working on it a great deal. It saddens me that the budget and the sales were so low, but maybe the zeitgeist is just different.

Bit of a late release again, you know how life is unpredictable. I really hope we will get the new ED next week. Seeing as how the single is out 1/25, it couldn’t be much later. I’m kind of afraid they will make Hanakana sing something outside her unspectacular range and the song will be meh, but we won’t know until we hear it.
Raze says: I must apologize for this late release. I’ve been suffering from a rather severe hangover all day and couldn’t concentrate at all this morning.

Appleseed XIII – 01

So, here is the announced OVA. The BDs for Appleseed are sadly nowhere to be found, which is why this release uses the stream rip from a few weeks back. We likewise can’t sub the second and the third episode yet, although they are technically out, since we don’t have anything to work with.
This is where you come in. We would be overjoyed if someone out there had the BD itself or the Bluray disk image and would like to share it with us; send Raze an email or contact Raze or __ar in our IRC channel. Found somebody. ^_^

kusion vectored something for me that I found on one of the ~boorus some time back and have been using as my avatar ever since, and I had a print shop put it on a shirt. It’s awesome. Photo after the break.
That reminds me. This is going to be my godly weeaboo shirt (I’ll stoically refuse to translate the runes if I ever wear it elsewhere, it’d creep people out to no end) for Connichi. I’ve never been to an anime convention before, but I felt this would be a good opportunity to meet up with some other fansubbers. Daiz will be there. You know, the guy who is trying to kill anime. Other attendees will include, well, mostly harmless Commie peons to be honest (Kokawa & yaffi). Card is coming from America! If that ain’t something.
I’m given to understand cardslash02 is going to run some kind of potentially live blog about it just like she will about AX, so expect stuff. Photos & Videos both a maybe.
 
…I have to admit I only wanted to parade my shirt, the convention thing was just an excuse to make the post seem like it actually had content relevant to public interests. Still, if you happen to plan on being there for Connichi, I suppose it interests me somewhat.

Just when I get to concoct the release post, my verbosity deserts me. I felt quite sorry for __ar though, as he had to remove large blue bars from the wretched .ts, which took the better part of the last 20 hours. He’s the hero of this release.
As for the actual episode, I trust you’ve noticed by now that things got real. No need to spoil a good episode.
