We have a new episode with a new character! It was one of those “tread really carefully with your jargon translations or you’ll screw something up” episodes, but I think I’ve covered my bases.
As far as I know, the Olympics shouldn’t be affecting the air schedules for Accel World and Sword Art Online. You can check back here next week for the next episode.

When I first looked at the release picture, I was like….oooooh crap no wonder…. [spoiler] black lotus didn’t want him to see her, its going to be a love triangle!..or Square….or was it Pentagon? [/spoiler] Then when I saw the actual scene I had to see it twice to make sure I didn’t skip it….then I saw the small text under the release picture….GOD DAMN IT YOU SUNK MY SHIPS! So, I’ve done a little of research about VLC.
Apparently, 10 bit support was added in 1.2.0 some time ago.
The current stable release is 2.0.3.

10 bit support was added in Vlc 2.0, versions before that didn’t support it and would only show a green screen.

There’s one thing i dont understand:
[spoiler]Sky Raker tells him how black lotus cut her legs and you’d usually think she’s talking about her avatar. However, Silver Crow has almost a habit of getting limbs pulverized or detached and always regenerates them. Even more, they later show that her real legs are both artificial.
Are they fucking seriously telling us princess cut off both her legs in the real world???

speaking about the regeneration, maybe they remained lost because she counsciously decided to cut them? after all this whole episode is pretty much about how the mind influences the avatar and the world around.[/spoiler]

@mezo Silver Crow regenerates lost limbs easier due to his color. Kuroyukihime said so in th ebeginnign when she explained him the meaning of the colours; his color is “strong against amputation”.. this doesnt mean that its harder to rip his limbs off, but it just means that he regenerates them pretty easily.
I don’t really know why but from 13:20ish onwards, the video just freezes up. But if I skip that particular time, to let’s say 13:24, it works fine. Am I the only one having this problem?

BTW what does everyone actually think of his flying ability? I mean it certainly is cool to be able to fly but looking at it from a fighting standpoint, it seems like a pretty terrible trick when you don’t have a single long range attack ^^; I also cant help wondering what Haru is upgrading when he levels up since he doesn’t seem to get any new moves….and he actually seems to be fighting worse more often then not.
@Z I think his flying ability is over-rated, at least so far. Even when he had his wings, he was still on the ground more often than in the air! I guess it kept him from whining though, so that was good. He’d be even more of a trainwreck if he hadn’t gotten something special like that from the beginning, I think…

His ability is, well, a weird case.
From one point of view, it is overrated, since he does appear to lack any sort of ranged attacks, flying requires him to use his special power gauge, and the ability itself is just a movement ability, one that is more of a support-type ability rather than a combat-type one.
But looking at it from a different perspective, when we consider the fact that there aren’t many genuine abilities in the game, his isn’t that bad. First of all, he now seems to be able to use it most of the time, meaning that its special gauge usage has to be almost nil (or it might even not be using his special gauge at all for normal flight and only deplete it when he uses his “special attacks”), and with it being a support-type ability he ought to still be able to fill his special gauge when flying. Second of all, with his speed-based combat style, Silver Crow can evade most (if not all) melee attacks and now even some ranged ones, and attacks he can’t evade are either piercing-type ones (sniping shots) that he is resistant to, or special cases (like Scarlet Rain’s giant cannons) that aren’t likely to be accessible for most players. Furthermore, lack of ranged attacks can be gotten around by means of external items (though less massive than Scarlet Rain’s Immobile Fortress) if Haruyuki desired to get such equipment, but he seems to prefer to get close and just smash his foes.
Either way, it is an ability that is weak in itself (because it is a support-type ability), but becomes really potent if you know how to use it well (because it is a support-type ability). The same applies to Lime Bell’s ability, really – by itself it is really weak (she can’t exactly use it on herself, and using it requires knowing when to use it), but when used well, it can turn the battle around.
Also, since you asked, Haruyuki is investing his bonuses in his flying ability and speed. That being said, he’s not devoting all of his level-up bonuses to it Niko-style so some do go to increasing his general stats, but it’s still a large part of his points that gets invested in those. It’s why he could defeat Cherry Rook in his Chrome Disaster armour – with his attacks being speed-based and dealing damage depending on his speed, by using gravity to accelerate even further than normally he was able to (almost) one-shot it.
Ability to fly have many different uses recon, monstrous mobility, advanced dodging etc. also it adds 3rd dimention into fights on constant basis unlike jump abilities.
And to be even more exact about his level ups: he takes speed (overall) and flight time bonuses (gauge usage effectivness, at the point of armour fight he could be still in air without (or nearly 0) drain of his gauge, while moving in air still required it in considerable amount (his flight to crater took more than 2/3rds of it))
