We really wanted to get this out early since it’s yet another great episode, but typesetting ended up taking literally half a day because the signs are annoying and ar-kun is a crazy perfectionist. It happens sometimes.
I guess this is a good time to clarify that we will not be doing the Blurays for this show, as we simply do not have the time. However, FFFansubs will be doing them using our subs, and we will work with them to ensure they are using our updated batch-ready scripts.

@rmarco21: Blu-ray videos are generally better quality than TV versions. The difference can be hard to spot in some cases unless you really look for it, but most of the time you can see it. Blu-ray releases also often contain redrawn scenes from the animation studio because they weren’t happy with their work the first time and uncensoring when applicable. And in some rare cases Blu-ray versions even contain extra scenes that weren’t in the TV airing. TL;DR There’s usually enough of a difference that Blu-ray releases are worth getting, because they’re better.

On the topic of the Nerve Gear reference: I haven’t read any Accel World yet, as sadly, my Japanese is very poor and not nearly up to the task of reading the untranslated works without at least a dictionary on hand, and even that would be sketchy at best (Though I believe that as of a few days ago the first three volumes are now fully translated on baka-tsuki, so I’m probably going to check those out), but Accel World and Sword Art Online are both written by the same author, and it’s my understanding that they take place in the same world, with Accel World simply taking place significantly later in the timeline.

There are actually several references in SAO material to Accel World (And if this episode is any indication, the reverse is also true), and the author even wrote a short crossover between the two.
[spoiler]Minor SAO spoilers, but the more recent SAO arc in the LNs involves a technology which seems to be the precursor to the Neuro Linker (And specifically, Acceleration) from Accel World.[/spoiler]
Just want to point something out in the translation.
Rust Jigsaw has two attacks, ‘Wheel Saw’ is correct, but the official translation for the other one should be ‘Still Saw’ not ‘Steel Saw’.
According to its Japanese description, the attack is a ‘fixed mounted trap’. That why ‘Still’ should be more appropriate.
Still Saw sounds naff though. Maybe Static Saw?
