    Hm, tried installing xy-VSFilter for my MPC, but it didn’t seem to change anything. Still getting those weird freezes before each new line of subtitle. Works fine in VLC, so I guess I can just watch these with that for now, but I’m hoping there’ll be some sort of fix for MPC soon.
    Any idea why this problem is cropping up now, as opposed to before? Can’t recall ever having issues with UTW’s subs in MPC prior to this.

    Ah, never mind, fixed it. Had to up the subtitle buffer in MPC to 5 for it to work smoothly. Rather unfortunate, because I originally had to lower it to 0 to stop subtitled signs/text/messages/etc. and whatnot from flickering. Ugh.

    I figured out what the damn problem is with the karaoke snag. Somehow it can’t handle the fade-in and the karaoke at the same time that well, so it stalls until after the fade-in should finish. Thought it would be something with the effects used, pausing and letting the computer to work it out bit by bit actually managed to show what the normally skipped effects should have been.
