  2. Thanks for the episode!
I think you made a mistake at 7:48
Pigtail girl always says “desu” .. It’s a riddle to me why you put the line “death” here?!
It’d be rather logical to use something like “yes, it is” here…

  3. @LeviathanX, if you paid attention they did this the previous episode as well, it’s the way they translate it. “Desu” at the end of the sentence is just desu, “desu” out of nowhere standalone is translated as “death”. I think it’s not necessary but it isn’t a translation mistake.

  4. @Verix
I just happened to see the text when this occured… that’s why I realized it just today in this very episode…
(Lately) I’m only reading the subtitles if I can’t sort out what they are talking about… (i.e. talking too fast, using ambiguous words etc..)
I don’t know where you don’t see this as “not a translation mistake”… “desu” doesn’t mean “death” at all…

  5. @LeviathanX
It’s just a speech quirk she has, she always says “Death” instead of “Desu” but we chose to ignore it in all cases except where she says it as a single word.

  6. heh, fighting over who is the true member zero, when Zero is already in the room…
I can just imagine Yuuta with a Zero mask on… hmm, time to photoshoop!
    (on the whole desu-death thing)
Makes sense how you guys tl’d it, seems to fit the scenario/dialogue quite well.

  7. @ar
Well, OK…, but I’ll stay with “desu” until I find a RAW page of the light novel on which this is clearly written 😉

  8. @LeviathanX She’s not in the light novels, so that might be a little difficult.
By the way, “raw” isn’t an acronym, so there’s no need to capitalise it.

  9. @Xythar
I figured so much… imagine why I put the smiley in my sentence 😉
btw. I just wanted to point out “raw”… no other reasons

  10. Thank you, teams UTW and rori, for all of the Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! releases so far =)
I would like to compliment on all of the typesetting for episode 06 that fit well with the original material on screen. They look much better than a few instances in earlier episodes where the original texts were blocked or covered up by non-transparent text boxes. Hopefully the techniques used in episode 06 will continue to be utilised in future episodes.

  11. late. but.
3:01 – I understand since I’m the only one who’s familiar with character you’re supposed to be,
    i believe it’s “… with -what- character you’re supposed to be,…”
and as for 11:10 – Not just by looking at this > seems odd wording to me, but that’s probably just me.
