  7. ;_; <– MFW when the episode ended. How the fuck do they make 20 minute episode seem like they lasted 5? God damn!

Thank God… With the chaos of a battle at least won’t be able to see what’s coming!
THANKS FOR THE EPISODE AND PLEASE HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!

  9. This is getting more and more intense. I’m glad this comes from a novel, so we will have a ending in a month & half.

  10. >If we don’t go back and tell the others, the whole town’s doomed!
You know, a cellphone would be nice right about now. Might take another 1000 years to reinvent the wheel.

Was rewatching the old episodes and something seemed odd to me and I was wondering if anyone else caught it…but did Squeller’/Yakomaru’s mark stating he was from the Robber Fly colony disappear after the Queen attacked him? Just noticed it seemed to be missing in the scene right after the attack…
His odd facial mark above his eye is there but the unique mark of the colony seems to be gone.

  14. Holy shit. The suspense.

    Pleasant!

Some excessive beating-around-the-bush (regarding the nature of the attacker).

    1. “Joining a group with three people we’ve never seen before, with shallow opposing personality types–it’s almost as though they’ve been lumped together with the main characters just so that they can be killed off.”

    3. “Huh.”

  18. Thanks for the epi!
any idea when we will see accel world ex 2? =0

  19. @Yanwer
When stuff before it gets done probably. Fate/Zero, then Accel World batch, then EX02 most likely.

Thanks for the work! Looking forward to the last 6 episodes of this amazing show.

  23. Shameless stall week. Viscerally exciting but cerebrally enriching as an empty canteen on a hot day in the Sahara is thirst-quenching. “So it begins”? You’re saying that only now? Nothing really began this week. That’s a more apt tag line for last week’s episode. Here’s hoping next week’s won’t be so stingy with plot advancement and so overflowing with adults who consistently make poorer decisions on all fronts than the two college kids.

  24. damn… this is something you guys may want to re-check:
I was just watching ep. 2 again… go to 20:31… Saki speaks about Maria… she says that if she had died then many lives could’ve been spared… so this fiend is either Maria or Mamoru, or they have something to do with the current fiend… this wait is killing me

    @Oskuro
Now that you mention it I should probably re-watch the all the eps just in case I missed details the narrator (probably Saki) mentioned through out the series.
oooooor someone here can enlighten us what the hell is going on with a spoiler. XD
I can’t wait for the next ep!

  27. Remember what the old lady said before?
If someone stays outside the holy barrier for too long, he’ll likely turn into a Fiend or a Karma Demon, and that’s why Maria and Mamoru have to either return or die.
Now Saki and Satoru went back, pretending those two were dead, and now we have a Fiend.
Is it really that difficult to figure out, who the Fiend may be?

  28. k2m2_01 on February 11, 2013 at 9:13 am said:

well, it’s not difficult like you said but rather it’s the suspense that’s killing me.
It’s obvious it could be either of them but simply guessing who isn’t enough for people like me who wants some spoilers now and then.

  29. I don’t get it, if they can’t use their cantus against another human aka the fiend, then why don’t they just manipulate the environment around him? Blazing fire by his side, Earth Shattering Quake anyone?? Cantus powered tsunami? I mean 4 cantus users just blazed an entire field of squeelers… c’mon people.. use your heads… what was all the training in school for if a kid without formal education whups ur butts?? -_-

  30. Answerer on February 13, 2013 at 5:58 am said:

@Huami… They can’t hurt another human being. Cantus or no cantus, indirectly with their cantus or directly with their fist. In the first few episodes, the children were shocked when the false minoshiro told them that in the past, humans hurt each other. Saki even said that that’s impossible as in their culture, violence against another human being is simply unthinkable.
There’s also the death feedback. It will try to stop them if they try to hurt another human being. Cantus or no cantus. Fiends are insane and their death feedback doesn’t work. That’s why the Ethics committee watches everyone like a hawk and that’s why the fiend that appeared is probably not from the village.

  31. “what was all the training in school for if a kid without formal education whups ur butts?? -_-”
I’m curious, why do you watch this show when you obviously don’t understand it?

  32. why do i get the impression that the fiend is artificially created? it didnt attack the queercats (well the ‘side’ it was/is on), and an earlier episode showed signs of brain surgery (lobotomy?) against the queen…
voice in my ear says experimentation by the queercats!… that or Shun survived somehow

  33. I suspect the fiend is Maria and Mamoru’s child. That little section where Maria talked about not being able to have babies with Saki seemed to heavily imply she has one by the present time, and it would make sense fif the queerats raised the child and unleashed him upon the humans
