And with this… Angel Beats! Blu-ray is complete! I’ve included The Making of Episode 2 in this, but we haven’t translated it because it’s a typesetting nightmare and there isn’t much said. The majority of the Blu-Ray project was done by myself (ar) since Ershin fixed up the scripts for the batch, but with this last volume Ershin, Raze, and Nikon also stepped in to help out. So here are the project credits!

Ershin (Translator): Ever since the last broadcast episode, the BD releases have by and large been left up to ar, since my role in translating was finished. So I can’t even begin to describe what a treat it was to have an opportunity to jump back into the world of Angel Beats! even for just one episode (and a tiny-ass epilogue >_>). I really hope you guys enjoy the special episode!
Nikon (Timer): I seriously almost pooped my pants from laughing so hard
Raze (QC/Editor): I guess this marks the completion of UTW’s first BD project! The special was definitely a fun watch.

Edit: Seems I got the extras mixed up (damn you CDJapan and me not checking the BD Menu!). The Extra included is actually Toro Station Weekly (Magazine), I’ll probably do the Making of Episode 2 when I get hold of the DVD it came on~ So oops! My Bad
Edit2: Batch will be made once we’ve finished subbing The Making of Angel Beats! Part1+2, so maybe a week or two. They’ll be included in the batch, but they are obviously DVD encodes because the DVD is what came with the Blu-ray and there is no Blu-ray for them.

Most of those “sources” are based on a single magazine clipping from June which has never been confirmed in any way shape or form. The most reliable proof we even have is the teaser text at the end of Another Epilogue which isn’t much to begin with.

@Kurogashi: Yes the series had an epilogue, it was after the credits where the girl was humming. Another Epilogue is supposed to take place between the end of the final episode and that scene somewhere.

Another Epilogue takes place alternatively after Kanade disappears at the end of Episode 13 instead of the Epilogue where Yuzuru & Kanade meet.
The special episode branches off during the sitting of the exams in episode 5 or 6 (I think it was) and takes place alternatively to the rest of the events happening.
Or atleast people resembling them.
Anyways I don’t really see a 2nd season happening even with the 2nd Epilogue teaser. It won’t be as awesome as the first, hardly any questions left to answer, and if its similar to what we already saw then it’d be boring with a new cast. :/

Same problem with Yoneda, every BD release has hanged on my mpc + k lite.
No problem with your normal TV releases though.
Haven’t had any problem with running 1080p shows from various other fansubs.
Somehow CGs angel beats 1080p works for me but somehow yours aren’t able to load.
Any specific setting that i gotta turn on?
Oh i forgot to add that the 720p versions work for me.

The 1080p are dxva compatible so I don’t see the problem. Sounds like you’ve got some weird flac decoding issue. Try disabling FLAC in mpc internal filters.

No but really it’s just my fault for not bothering to look at the Kanji chapter title on the bd menu. I would have picked it up straight away if I had instead of listening to whoever it was who told me it was the Making lol. We’ll be renaming the file for batch!!!

Yes soon as we put it together, ep01-04 will be have a minor fix in the batch but we’ll put a patch up for each batch too so those who all the releases can seed if they want.

Nope there isn’t. I pretty much never use it. It’s just good for older systems is all. Weird. I encode flac with flac cli encoder so sounds like some decoder weirdness.

Yes there is. It’s on a separate DVD that was included with the Blu-Ray apparently. We’ll consider subbing it once we’ve got the DVDISO in hand and we know what we’re in for. I won’t say we will for sure just yet.

They explained in the first episode (I’m pretty sure)
That people without memories, hence, Otonashi because he doesn’t have a heart, get lost and drift for a while before they end up in any given place.
In other words, it’s actually CHANCE he set foot in the Afterlife. He could have gone to hell or heaven depending on wherever he got placed.
Kanade obviously died shortly after the heart transplant was done, and because she wanted to thank whoever gave her that heart, she herself decided she would go to the afterlife and wait.

The batch will come when we finish translating both parts of The Making of Angel Beats! documentary that were included on DVD’s with volume 3/7 of the Blu-rays.
Ershin is pretty busy at the moment, so he’s having trouble finding time to spend translating 2x45min specials. So soon as he’s done we’ll release them inclusive of the batch. I can’t give you a timeframe because he doesn’t know himself.
And no we won’t be subbing the Toro Magazine special that came with the BD7 release because it looked silly~ lol. It was just included as was.
Makes me sad, still no batch, been waiting so long, putting off downloading to get the final release of this and B Gata.
