Action is not really an excuse here. Heck even SS/eclipse with shana ( with all the crazy action going on in there) never breached 500MB @720p. I think you just have a poor encoder whose solution to everything is to throw more bits at it. Its made worse by a lot of your audience who cheer you on for this (oblivious to the fact that a larger size != better encoding).
Don’t mean to sound ungrateful – I appreciate the episode, but the reasoning does not make much sense. “Our encoder sucks” would be a whole lot more honest.
arEdit:Encoder here, I’ll make sure to lower the crf next time so it reaches ~1gb, and only then might you have a leg to stand on. Easy to call someone a bad encoder when you aren’t the one encoding it yourself, and for the record, those Shana encodes… well… I’ll leave it at that. You can make anything smaller if you sacrifice quality, it’s not hard to do 🙂

i am totally ok with the fact that i am quite literally downloading the slowest i have ever downloaded from utw because their encode and translation is the best out there and if it takes 7 weeks and 6 days (it wont itll be done in an hour or 2 when more people finish the torrent) thanks all who participated in this release (btw id appreciate lie a staff list on current projects, is there anywhere i could find this?)

What I do care about is a good, fast release of the shows.
We ask and UTW delivers, for free. I don’t think anyone has the right to even mention anything about the file size.

how i hate this type of story, i mean:

@AmericaIsGlorious, Actually US ISP’s do cap your monthly data usage. It’s just unless you dl over 250-300 gigs a month you would never know.
