Another ep with killer volumes of typesetting to do.  Seriously, this show never lets up.
No plot advancement!  Whatsoever!  But I’m totally cool with it because the focus seems to be narrowing down on Haruka, Chihaya and Miki bit by bit.  Also, the ED this week is my #1 favorite iM@S song.
Several truly amazing moments in this week’s ep.  But you guys know us pretty well by now.  Can you guess our #2 after the above spectacular Haruka vs a box shot?

It’s a new season!  A new OP!  Out with the old and in with the shiny!  Everyone has learned Haki and come back with fewer clothes!  Or something like that.
The new OP song will need some time to grow on me, but the visuals are great (and often hilarious.)  Dancing loli Chihaya?!  You got me sold.  Miki’s deviation from iM@S2 at around 6:43, giving the first game a nod, got a huge thumbs up from me, too.

Was so very tempted to use 18:05 or 18:37, but Miki has been getting a lot of attention recently. Went the cliche route!

Mid-season climax!  What a murderous ep.  And what a pay-off!
It looks like things are going up for our 13 beloved Ladies.  Now that we’re in the second half, we’ll probably get to see a good deal more conclusive plot threads instead of noodling around introducing everyone.  The only major characters who haven’t had eps focused on them yet are Takane, Hibiki, Ritsuko and Kotori (she was introduced with the idols on A-1’s website!).  Will P-san take them all to the top?  Does he dare take the harem route?!

Inch by inch, the plot advances.  Buckets of positivity this ep, by the way.
[spoiler show=”Semi-spoiler”]So, I have two important character route foreshadow screencaps in mind.  One is displayed above.  This one was as obvious as a jawbreaker in a bag of jellybeans (yes, I just made up that expression now) but the other wasn’t.  Did you spot it?Disclaimer: It’s quite possible there are other story-related moments that I’m not including.  If there were, I didn’t care enough about whichever character was involved to consider them.  You should have enough information to know who the other screencap moment is about.[/spoiler]
We apologize to fans of Daiz’ Track Two of Non-Terms-of-Addressedness, but there will be only one track (with terms of address) with the release.  When Daiz wakes up, he may or may not decide to amend it with another track, but we weren’t going to delay releasing for that.

Gonna preempt comments on Takane’s first few scenes: lol. Keep the comments PG-13, please. We promote viewing as a family, after all.

Part 2 of Catch-Up Theater!
The twins don’t get very much love.  Not even an insert song.  Haruka, however, was cute for the very first time ever (imho).  Time to petition A-1 for more pudding ghosts.
Ep10 is the Super Back to the Return of I Know What You Did Last Typesetting Hell 3 Turbo, but we’ll have it out as soon as we can.

Welp, I resisted for as long as I could, but we finally updated the OP to the official lyrics.  It is with great sadness that we have replaced “I’m ready!” with “I’m lady!”, along with some minor adjustments.  My sincerest apologies to all for subjecting you to this.
I’m not sorry in the least, however, for this episode full of Azusa-and-Miki-in-wedding-dress, Makoto-in-tuxedo goodness.  The ep is a clusterfuck of wth, but never has wth looked so good while telling fortunes or been so utterly lost while helping grandmothers cross the street.
Yes, feel free to cry for us once you count up the number of insert songs and anime-originals.  We accept tears, blood, cash donations, and cookies.  Warm cookies, though.  None of that cold shit, please.
Quick note re: that guy I’m sure you’re all going to wonder about.  He is never, ever introduced by name.  Unless that is his name.  Since he is referred to by the same name both in print and in person, we decided that his status passes for his name.  After all, Azusa’s (and in several instances, the other idols’) friend Tomomi’s name is written as 友美, so why can’t other people be referred to by their roles?!  The characters in Tomomi’s name are, literally, “friend” and “beauty,” a very common element in a girl’s name, used in this case to stress the name’s generic aspect.  The name Tomomi, however, is a perfectly common name, though usually written with different kanji.
Finally, since I personally didn’t know about this: The ED, Hanikami! First Bite is a reference to the traditional first bites of the wedding cake taken by the bride and groom at the reception, fed to one another.
Post-incredibly-long delay notes: Psy here.  Regardless of circumstances, we’ve made you wait a very, very long time for these episodes.  m(_ _)m  Gomennasai.  We’ll most likely have everything released by some time tomorrow.  Enjoy the eps, and once again, our apologies for the delays.

Yayoi-cchi!  How is it possible to be so adorable?  She’s a parent’s dream come true.
Fans of the older idols, you can sit down.  This week’s ep takes things at a slower pace with a focus on three of the office’s younger idols.  In fact, none of the other girls even have lines!
Bonus points for anyone who catches Haruka’s ??? face in this ep.

Sorry for the delay, folks. When sudden illness strikes a small team, momentum suffers.

I think I’m running out of steam on witty(?) release copy.  Plot advances, people sing, some other people dance.  Yukiho digs a hole, Haruka doesn’t fall flat on her face, Hibiki doesn’t interpret the hamster language, Producer-san screws up… Takane continues to be wonderful comedic relief.  Oh, and Ryuuguu Komachi plays a minor part somewhere in there.

Some things that wouldn’t fit in TL notes:

Ryuuguu Komachi (????):  literally means “Beauties from the Palace of the Dragon King.” Ryuuguu Castle itself is a reference to the underwater castle that appears in the folk tale of Urashima Tarou, which you can wiki for more information (including the ‘treasure box’ that shows up in Kotori’s daydream).

Minase (??), Miura (??), Futami (??): Chief mentions during an interview that the three Ryuuguu members’ family names involve water, which gave Ritsuko the idea to use name Ryuuguu Komachi.  The characters in their family names mean, respectively: ?? water shoal, ?? three inlet, and ?? twin sea.  Haruka, who was indignant at being left out, bears the family name Amami (?? ), which uses the characters for heaven and sea.
