So here it is Angel Beats Volume 3. Nice and early as always. There is an extra 38 seconds in Episode 5, which other than a non-hacked-for-tv ED, is all it accounts for from what I can figure out. Also only one Creditless Ending this time around, so boo to that.

Very nice work, and quite fast. Though I watched each and every episode of the TV version several times, I enjoy it even more in the BD release. The flow of the episodes are much smoother now with the many re-done screens. I appreciate it that UTW has the 720p ver. My poor laptop can’t run 1080p.
because 720p ver. use AC3 for the audio so even low specification computer can play it well

Btw my question, Coalgirls BD for angelbeats! is almost twice the filesize u guys have… why is that? better vid quality? And I dunno why coalgirls took SS subs for angel beats… Mazui or UTW translations are way~~ better… anyway can someone plz anwser my question? (new to Blu-ray… my knowledge is Bigger is better D:)

To be honest, I don’t know why Coalgirls are so big (other than the encoder didn’t bother doing any encoding tests and just picked a low CRF value). I did a bunch of encoding tests when I got the first blu-ray and the size we have now was the optimum I came up with, where there was very little loss but quality was excellent. I thought anymore size was too much, and the tiny amount of quality gain was not worth it. It’s almost invisible. Bigger is better sometimes, but there comes a point where gain per size becomes non-worthwhile. My personal philosophy is to try and be sensible with size while maintaining best quality that I can. I hope that helps.
