   Broadcast is terrible quality, and fixing it up to make it look somewhat decent takes hours of manual work. It basically looks pretty bad at 720p even when cleaned up because their source is like 480p.

Most of the shots with tamayura are taken by the sea, with mist and/or light coming over the hill – my theory is that it’s refracted light or something. Fuu says that they show up in pictures when people are happy, and that you can’t force them to appear – Either that’s harmless superstition, imagining magic in everyday life, or it’s a little dash of the supernatural like the light orbs in Clannad.

    Chances of Tamayura appearing of digital cameras are slim, given the built in error correction algorithm applied to the image even before they get recorded as data (even if the artifacts are not errors, it will get recognized as errors anyways).
