If You're Not Watching GSL…

…then you missed out!

MMA! WINS GSL

and…

MVP WINS THE GRAND FINALS!!!

Thanks to everyone who stuck around and discussed it. Had a lot of fun this weekend watching Diablo III and SC2 panels, as well as these amazing games.
I’ll get back to subbing after I calm down from that win.

  1. more like watching fucking no-names play sc2 as opposed to MVP and Nestea and anyone else I’ve actually fucking heard of, if any games at all, and now watching a 3 hours special in between the GSL opening ceremony and the first fucking game. Seriously, they broadcasted what, 2 series out of the 20 played? And that’s not even exaggerating.

  2. >>MMA and MVP
    >>no-names
    >
    >ok…
Don’t talk unless you’ve actually been watching blizzcon you dumb fuck.
There were 19 matches in the blizzcon invitational until GSL started, and there were only 3 series broadcasted. Most of them were the no-names from SEA, CN, and whatever other servers.
The production quality for blizzcon this year is a disgrace to starcraft.
Agreed, but the games were nice to watch at least.

  3. Would have been really sick to see MVP win both Blizzcon and GSL, netting $100k in one weekend? Yeah, but shit dude, everyone’s gotta love the underdog.
Major grats to MMA. And major props to UTW for being SC2 fans!!

  4. So I was about to watch the VODs but I checked my feeds first and I saw a comment about GSL on UTW… I was like I’ll look at it real quick and then GSL… FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  5. Haha thats a surprise. Not too many weeabos watch gsl. But hell yeah, about time somebody kicked mvp off his throne. GO MMA!!!!!

  6. GOMTV Global Starcraft II League
now go and cover in shame for:
    1. not already knowing it.
    2. spending 2 seconds to find out. (maybe 5 if you type slow)
in other news. sc is better.
    >bisu, fantasy & jaedong in the audience
    ^ KNOW WHAT I MEAN?

  7. 2. not spending 2 seconds to find out. (maybe 5 if you type slow)*
when I typed “GSL” into google, it’s the fourth result, and I actually missed it the first time I looked at the results.
It seems Global Starcraft II League isn’t as famous as “Global Ship Lease, Inc.” or “GNU Scientific Libary”. ‘course this dones’t really matter sine I stopped giving a shit about SCII like a year ago.

  8. yey
i normally woudltn be this impatient, but just in case soemone felll asleep like last time, id just like to say that raws for both C3-04 and fate/zero-04 are up~ just makign sure, dot midn it if you already got started^^

  9. I think it was funny how Artosis and Tasteless thought it was going to be 4:1 in the favor of MVP but, instead MMA won.

  10. I’m an MVP fan, and I wish he could’ve risen to the situation, but I can appreciate how awesome MMA was in that match. Good job!

  11. First of all great GSL final, not a big fan of TvT but those games were really entertaining. As for the blizzcon final I’m rooting for Nestea, I like zerg more than Terran 😛
As for who has the best chances to win there is no telling those guys are out of this world when it comes to Starcraft. Will most likely be a very enjoyable final 😀

  12. >The heck, I remember MVP was pretty chobo in SC1.
MVP was the strongest player from BW to transfer to sc2 until this point (or perhaps slayers_yellow, but he hasn’t really started doing anything in sc2 yet).
Also, Nestea was much much worse in BW.

  13. “If only IdrA was playing I would have forgiven you guys.”
Why would it matter if IdrA were playing? He is just the first of many strong US players to emerge XD Show some love for our Korean brotha’s ;D

wut, Nada and July were all far better and experienced. I guess it’s a completely different game.
    And lol… I just found out NesTea is ZergBoy. Mad old school -_-;

  15. And yes Nada and July are BW legends but they were crap when they transferred to sc2. They were They were legends 5 years ago, but are nothing but b-teamers when they switched.

  16. Good gods. Every time this Mvp guy so much as farts the commentators sing high praises for his sense of timing or tactical prowess. I understand he’s the “underdog”, but seriously, some professional detachment on the part of the speakers would be nice.

  17. Totally only watched this because it was posted up here while I was waiting for Fate/Zero.. but it was so worth watching all 5 of those matches. It finishes and I see what I was waiting for is now ready. Your plan worked. :p

  18. I swear to god I was like ” Ok time to get my weekly dose of animes time to downloooooooawda” then I was visiting this site first after 1 second of thinking hm where do I download Fate/Zero again and instantly thought oh yeah UTW then I visited this site and was like man idk I just like Utw their website is so simple everything is out so fast such a solid Boss fansubgroup and then I saw this comment and was blown away I’ll just leave it at that.
Maaan the 40 broodlord 15k minerals lose of nestea was sooo idk he was ahead all the fucking game and just idk im speechless :[ he fucked up imo. I think Nestea is waay better at the Basic Macro Game all his losses were timingpush/fuckup losses Anyways glad MMA won and was a good blizzcon :]

  19. Being a Protoss player it’s sad that someone like Liquid Huk wasn’t in that tourney, but I must say that final battle was awe-inspiring. WP WP WP. And as a side note DayJ FTW!
