Yet another series draws towards its conclusion.
This was a pretty Shaftian episode in terms of visuals. We enjoyed it.

oh what a nice release and to those of you whining about refreshing the page for hours, its not so difficult to use UTW’s RSS feed link so conveniently located towards the top of the page in uTorrent to download all the releases as soon as they are published on the feed. and if you tweak the settings of uTorrent to associate the finished .mkv file with media player classic or whatever the hell you whiners use, and tell it to automatically start that program when finished, you save yourself ALOT of trouble. (btw) thanks all for the great release :3.

i only recently noticed this, but doesnt it strike you taht yuuko is like the opposite of another ghosst you subbed a series about? compare yuuko to menma, they areally are exactly opposite in terms of design…
There’s a small issue with the sub at 16:43
Since the end of the previous line is very close to the beginning of the line afterwards, it’s rendered close to the very center of the frame.
At least, it does so on the MPC-HC (x64) internal subtitle renderer.
Looking forward to the SD release, glad you still do them as the Playbook still does not support mkv.

Does anyone agree with me that Tasogare Otome has the best directing of all animes this season? I mean, the last 5-6 episodes or so are absolutely awesomely directed. Love the cutout thingies, the colors, the effects, the tilting screens, just about everything is just so well done!

Can’t wait for the last episode, hopefully they don’t screw up at the end.
I, for one, am actually disappointed. The premise looked like it had a lot of promise, but at its core, the story is pretty trite and cliche, the characters are mostly one-dimensional (if you can in every circumstance predict what they’re going to do, then they don’t have much depth to them) and most of the dialogue is just those cringe-worthy standard love story lines.
All I see is a show that hoped that if they made it look like Madoka, it would turn out equally great. But just some Shaftian animation thrown in here and there does not a masterpiece make.
