I stand by my earlier comment that using the English spelling would make more sense.
It doesn’t make any more sense than using a k. Since she’s saying it as a Russian speaking person, it actually makes more sense to me to keep it as it’s spelled in Russian. But that’s MY personal choice and you wanting it with “c” is YOUR personal choice. UTW simply went with THEIR personal choice.

I stand by the spelling of the island as “Tebua” because Google seems to know what that word is related to an island whereas “Tebwa” seems to be related to French music. The Japanese have a horrendous track record of butchering other languages. Need I say more than “Freezing?”

I don’t see how Google turning up island search results for Tebua makes your case any more valid. Tebwa in LB is presumably a fictional island, and even if it did exist, it’s obviously not the same island. LB Tebwa is ex-Soviet and inhabited, while Tebua is ex-British and uninhabited.
Not like it even matters anyway, only autists would have a problem with this issue. I personally agree with UTW’s decision to make it consistent with the video romanization because, you know, at least it’s consistent.
