Translation was actually done about three hours after airtime, but we didn’t get a work raw until much later. Every one of us also had to leave for dinner one after the other, which delayed the release even further. We also went ahead and did signs we really didn’t have to because we’re awesome.
This was a really good episode though, with lots of Miya and Sae action. The butt-annoying narrator is back and creepy as ever.

Reminds me of the narrator for ookami-san but unfortunately 100 times more detrimental, as the two anime are quite different.

is it just me or does anyone else seeing the video slow down at the 18 minute mark where they’re about to play the millionaire game and then speed back up to normal as soon as the game goes off the screen?
the narrator in Amagami is a rip-off from the narrator of Ookami-san or they somewhat want to imitate it

That happens because of the on-screen text.
If you were to see that scene again with your subtitles off, it’ll be fine.
i.e. UTW on-screen text > Your computer

The narrator is creepy but you can’t actually dislike that funny comments of his. I hope we’ll have to listen to him only temporarily, though, and that the other arcs will be normal again. But hopefully they’ll have other good ideas to keep the iterating scheme interesting.
As regards the sub, the timing could have been a bit longer several times, your earlier episodes were better in this respect. How shall I take that, are you mad at me? I hope you didn’t take my comment as too harsh criticism, it was just my perception. I really like your overall work.
I asked about this earlier in the recent Angel Beats post, but would like to clarify matters:
So UTW doesn’t mind if people translate their subs, as long as they’re still credited.
But I’m actually editing the previous Amagami arc for my personal enjoyment (cutting out useless bits), but I may change my mind. (Since I’m just learning my way around editing with MKVtoolnix and VisualSubSync, I haven’t figured out how to preserve your font styles in the re-muxed mkvs.)
– Is it all right with you if I put the edited mkvs up for download somewhere?
– Is it all right to use your shortened English subs for the edited files?
– And is it all right to translate those same shortened subs?
– As long as I credit UTW for the source of the video and the subs, are all these all right, no worries?

And I’m using AviDemux to cut stuff out, VisualSubSync to fix subtitles, and MKVtoolnix to find out parameters and to process everything back together.
