Man, this has got to be the best episode of the series yet. It’s everything you’d want from an Amagami SS episode, and more.
Translation, timing, and editing were actually done quite a while ago, but apparently the transport stream source was banded everywhere and horribad today. Encoding took a while because of this, and we were basically sitting there twiddling our thumbs for it to finish. Perhaps our next aim is to get an encoding server?
There’s an insert song in the episode. We tried to do it, but I personally gave up at the fifth line (when Junichi screams “NANASAKI!” over the singing). We figured we might as well not waste time figuring it out and embarrassing ourselves. We’ll add the official lyrics in for the batch.
On another note, we’re looking for a new typesetter to work on Amagami SS. You must be:
- Experienced in ASS tag full softsubbing
- Self-motivated, able to produce high-quality work under stressful conditions and little time (ie. not slowpoke.png like me – ar~)
- Available without fail on Thursday evenings 4pm onwards EST
- Able to use IRC

FEEDBACK REQUIRED
Ok guys, I need compatibility feedback from xvid guys with hardware players for the test xvid below of Episode 15. Basically that it’s fully compatible and that the aspect ratio is correctly set on playback, it’s encoded at 720×480 with 16:9 display a/r set, which seems to work fine for me on software players at least. Also has CBR MP3, no QPEL + no GMC. Basically there should be no compatibility issues whatsoever, but if there is let me know. This is for the benefit of anybody who has compatibility issues with my xvid encodes. If you don’t speak up I can’t fix shit cause I didn’t know it was broken to begin with.

Wow. I’m always thankful for fansubber’s hard work. But with UTW, it’s different. I LOVE you guys. For me, you’re the best group right now in regard to being accurate while not fucking up the sentence. Typesetting, punctuation etc (many low-end subgroups are too bad to punctuate well) are top-notch. And if nothing else, you are subbing the best anime.

This show sure is unique imo. Never would of thought of multiple arcs based on a romance type genre. I won’t say thanks as I’m sure millions have said it for me in this thread. 😉
I have to admit though, the current arc is kinda boring compare to the others. I love sae arc the best for some reason.
This is pretty interesting. I myself find Nanasaki arc the best so far and Sae arc the worst of all (ya, Morishima arc was pretty bad too) And seeing different opinions is quite amusing – just how different taste others can have.

Thanks for the sub, man. I personally think this episode is quite rushed. Why don’t they focus more on Ai’s slump timing and psychological stuff then go for “good stuff” at last episode… That’s just my thought anyway. Once again, keep up the good work!

and standalone media box from sanyo also no problems

For some reason, I haven’t been able to watch 1-4 with the codecs i install from cdcc codec pack, and the newest xvid movie installer. What is used to watch these? I have not tested the later episodes yet.
