We’re in all parts of the world. It just happens the ones working on this (Raze & I) are in GMT+8 and GMT+11 timezones.

Woo, that was fast. not that i’ll get to watch it anytime soon 🙁 I’ve been downloading Index for 7 hours and still only 76%, normally at most it’s 20 minutes… I don’t know what’s up with that but it’s starting to annoy the hell out of me…

As always thanks guys. Is anyone else having trouble with this though? It’s playing hell with MKVtools like extract.
arEdit: I don’t understand what you mean? It works fine for me if I extract it with mkvextract cli. If you’re having trouble with extracting or w/e I would suggest using the same version it was muxed with, which is mkvtoolnix 4.5.0.

Is it just me or the previous ep was sharper then the others?
arEdit: Could be. The animation is really up and down, some eps are really really dull and others not so much. So it’s kinda hard getting the sharpness consistent ep to ep. I tend to adjust my filtering if necessary (because I have the time to with this show).

arEdit, I don’t know what’s up. I did the update to get to 4.5 but when the sub file is extracted it’s empty. I’ve never had this problem with one of your files before. The other stuff extracts fine.

It gives me a 70kb .ass which is correct.

@ar Thanks. I don’t know what’s going on. I think I must have installed one too many freebies. I guess it’s time to uninstall everything and start from scratch. Basically I want to be able to get this onto dvd so I can play it on the big screen. My dvd player will do avi but not mkv. What do you recommend if you have the time to say?

Maybe this has been mentioned already. Guys I am eternally grateful for all you do but in the ED “labyrinth’s emotional grieving”? I don’t think that’s even close. Maybe it’s labyrinth but it sounds like “love abyss” to me and the last bit sounds like “oooh shine on me”. Emotional grieving isn’t even the correct number of syllables.
I agree, “emotional grieving” is not correct, and as I said in the comments to Gosick 06, i think it’s wrong also the first line. Quoting myself:
“Regarding the ending, maybe it’s totally wrong, but it really seems to me that the first line is “Loneliness, fighting that again”, that also makes more sense to me, especially followed by “It seems to be like it never ends””
Anyway, obviously, great job 🙂

I agree the Engrish isn’t right, however, I think its fine left alone until the single with the lyrics comes out. Far as we all know we could all be hearing something completely wrong. Even songs released by English speakers in English get horribly misheard at times.
I would guess after official lyrics are out it’ll be changed for the archive version of the show.

Exactly right mate. I gave up changing the Engrish on ep4 I think it was. lol.
This engrish is just too hard to make out. In all honesty I think the actual lyrics for those couple of lines are somewhat different than most people are thinking they might be.
Seems there could be an fl or fr sound after what I’m pretty certain is Labyrinth’s. The fighting / finding is hard to tell what it actually is, it’s probably find as in Loneliness found them again but the lyrics either aren’t using proper grammatical structure or they are just being slurred along with her accent. I have a hunch the last word of the 3rd line might be “breathe” as in related to the title Resuscitated Hope, but even after hearing it over 1000 times slowed down, sped up, band-passed, etc I am still unable to make out clean lyrics, thus why I went for emotional grieving. I’m pretty sure it’s not correct but it’s correct with regards to how she sings the English syllables.
It goes like “laby-rin-se-mo-sha-nol-br/gr-eea/eei-v/th—in”, the end of the last word is sung under her breath, just like end of sentence syllables are typically sung in japanese.
The ED CDS release is 27th April according to Amazon JP (just got added today I think) and OP CDS comes out on 2nd March.

And personally, for the ED I hear “Labyrinth’s emotional weave.” It makes sense in a lot of ways. I also hear “fighting” instead of “Find him”, which again makes more sense in the lines. But we’ll just have to wait for the CD release I guess~
And that preview image sort of scared me.
@ar: Thanks for the response. However you should look at cdjapan.co.jp instead of Amazon for ops/eds/osts. They put the release dates a lot earlier (at least for the thing I am looking :3 ).

UTW, I’m really sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong section but I just want to ask if there’s any difference on how you guys encoded the sound of your GOSICK releases from episode 1-2 to the ones on episodes 4+++.
You see, the episodes 4++ won’t output any sounds on my WDTV live media player xD

arEdit: Nope. Exactly the same for every episode. Only thing that has changed is x264 builds for encoding the video, and MKVMerge 4.4.0->4.5.0 for ep5+ for which I have header compression disabled in my muxing batch anyway.
