Anyone else feel that they’re trying to hard-sell Asuna a little too much, particularly in this episode? I mean, I agree she’s wonderful and perfect and I love her, but the way the studio goes out of its way to demonstrate it all the time is a little much.
It’s still a great episode though! That middle section was pretty powerful.

Thank you for the release! Yes, Aincrad Arc ends next episode and Fairy Dance will start in episode 15.

6. Thanks UTW, cheers from brazil. =D

7. I think the studio is rushing a lot the LN. There are a lot of “holes” in the anime and sometimes if anyone hasn’t read the LN wouldn’t understand what is happening. And something curious is the Asuna’s black panties that she is wearing hahahaha anyone can see her underwear in the battle at the end of the ep.

8. “Anyone else feel that they’re trying to hard-sell Asuna a little too much, particularly in this episode?”
Yeah, I agree and I think they should focus more on Kirito.
This episode is a bit boring on the first part, I hope the next one will end SAO arc and introduce ALO.
Anyway, thanks for your hard work, guys!

9. Torrent is a bit slow… Will appreciate seeders.

They are but they’re following the light novels pretty closely and the entire chapter this is based on was about Asuna =)

20. The SAO Arc is not about them just being trapped and clearing the game to get out it was also about showing & developing Kirito and Asuna’s Relationship It’s true she is not a prevalent in the next arm but she is a character in the next arc all the same.
Thanks for the episode UTW as usual I wouldn’t accept any substitute your release is always the best out there.

Wow, “hard sell” Asuna? Really? Well, I certainly felt like they made her look beautiful and strong and loving in this episode, if that’s what you mean. If that’s “twisting my arm” to like her, they can just keep it up. Besides…
…she’ll have a lot less screen time in the next arc, so I’ll enjoy her now while she’s good and plentiful.
Thanks muchly to the groups for putting this out tonight!

24. Hope the episode is good, was hoping they’d skip the fishing story to allow for more episodes during the later part.

25. Thanks so much! Great episode, though the mood shift from casual part 1 to serious 2 was slightly abrupt.

26. A beautiful love story, but the main story is getting obfuscated by these unending sweet moments… I’m not complaining, usually you have to wait 24 episodes for a single one of them… oi, @kap, where from Brazil? I’m from Brazil too.

They are adapting the novels pretty accurate. The writer tried to oversell Asuna in SAO.
However in ALO he tries to oversell Lyfa (Suguha), the cousin of Kazuto. I wonder how will they adapt the implicit rape on ALO, in case the anime plans to end where ALO arc finishes…

They are pushing Asuna a bit much, but there is a good reason as it serves as Kirito’s motivation for the next arc. They want to convey just how much they love each other to the point of it becoming a mental disorder, to where they simply cannot live without each other and hints at some sort of weird Stockholm Syndrome where part of them doesn’t want to leave the game because then they would be separated. It makes sense from the gestalt of it all.

Bastards. Does anyone have and recommendations on pics of Asuna I can send them so they can see what evil they are doing stopping me from watching her. (Yes I do think the studio is doing a great job selling her. Anime shouldn’t all be child friendly.)

43. Well, I’m glad so many people have made a point of them pushing Asuna because she’s not around much in the next arc…I thought they were gearing up to kill her off on me. Good to know that’s not it (yet…are the books still running?)

44. Charkelle on September 30, 2012 at 9:00 am said:

I do agree that they are overselling Asuna a bit here, but honestly the author did the same in the LN (though I didn’t feel that it stood out quite as much there). Part of the reason for that was the length of the LN though (When looking at just volume 1, which was the main story, it really wasn’t that long), and he had to “oversell” her a bit to get the point across, since there wasn’t really any character development in the middle.
.
In the LN, the reader doesn’t even know Asuna exists until after the two-year timeskip, everything between the start of the game and then was in side-stories written later, which did a lot to flesh out their relationship more. Honestly, I think they actually could have even done without the fishing scene in the anime for that very reason: In the LN, that scene is one of the main sources of exposition about how Asuna and Kirito met (Originally, what she told Nishida about was supposed to be their first meeting, I believe, though that was later retconned by side-stories and they ended up meeting back on the first floor). It’s almost redundant (and even leaves a bit of a plot hole, as Asuna still talks like they hadn’t met before then in the anime, despite it using several of the side-stories where they met previously, and even included that scene itself at the time it happened).
.
Honestly though, I only really have two issues with the anime: For one, I think they actually stick too close to the LN in places where they shouldn’t. In scenes like this episode where Asuna talks to Nishida about that event in the past as if it was their first meeting, like it was in the LN. Could they not have changed the dialogue a bit to make it flow more naturally with the side-stories? They had the opportunity to intigrate the side-stories more because they were going chronologically, but they instead left them with the same sort of disjointed feeling they have in the LNs (which was more forgivable there, due to their nature of being side-stories, and not part of the original work). The set of side-stories really just felt like a bunch of one-shot episodes as a result of that.
.
Secondly, they keep leaving out explanations of things, especially mechanics-wise. It’s not a big deal to someone like me, who has read the LNs and knows how things are supposed to work, but I’ve seen plenty of places where I’m not sure if someone who hadn’t would understand how or why something was happening. For example, in the previous episode, they never explained how Thinker ended up trapped in the dungeon in the first place, since he obviously didn’t walk all the way down there unarmed. In the LN, Kibaou tricked him by setting up a Corridor Crystal (the same type Heathcliff used in this episode, which creates a portal to a pre-marked point) in front of him when they were meeting, which lead into the depths of the dungeon. It’s leaving out things like this that I think is making a lot of people feel like the story keeps pulling things out of nowhere. Plenty of times those tings had been explained or alluded to previously in the LN, but since the anime had left out those explanations they seem too convenient at times.
.
And a bit of a tangent here, but on the topic of the female leads, while I really do like Asuna (And really, her and Kirito do make a great couple), my favourite would have to be Sinon, from the third arc. Not going to get into spoilers about that here, though I really hope they do decide to do the GGO arc eventually, despite how different it is from SAO/ALO.

@stryph: The books are still running, volume 10 was released not too long ago. There’s going to be at least one more volume after that (that would be the last book of the current arc, which covers 9-11, as far as I remember). I’m not certain whether there’s going to be more after that or not, someone else might know more about that than me.

Great ep as always but still a bit too rushed for my taste TBH. Well at least it looks like they will go into ALO so I’m happy. Wish they would go up to GGO but I highly doubt it seeing how far off that is and unless we get a S2 we will not see how badass and genderly confused Kirito is in what is practically an opposite game from SAO.

55. Anidb is listing Sawashiro Miyuki for Shinon. Though I’d love to see GGO be made, I really hope they don’t rush ALO.

56. Fucking shit! Now they have to fight an EVA’s angel!
About Asuna, I think she is getting the screen time that she deserves due to the importance that she have, now she is the reason Kirito goes on, they have to clear the game no matter what because of what Asuna explained. The first half of the episode was a light sillines necessary to balance the heavy weight of the second half. To the folks who have problems about Asuna, can’t bear her and etc. I have to say that you’re the troblesome ones. What’s your problem, guys? Don’t you like romance? Don’t you like girls? There are a lot of shonen animes where girls are almost meaningless, go watch those and fuck off! I know very well that you really like strong male friendships with a clear (to me at least) gay underline, like Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya and goes on. If there was no romance in SAO, it would be just another so-so shonen anime that we would forget the next day it ended.
PS, if Asuna dies, I would kill myself!

57. Oh! By the way, where can I get the translated light novels?!

58. @Kamugin just because we’re not head over heels for Asuna doesnt mean we hate romance, duh.
also no, the romance is obviously not the reason why anyone would prefer this show over other shows, sicne the romance but if this show is really pretty shallow and clicheic most of the time. the world, the characters and the concept are what keeps it apart from other similar works.
also, you can read the LN at Baka-tsuki.org.

59. There are people that started watching anime yesterday, so it seems. There was many animes with the same, or similar, concept: .hack//SIGN, Dennou Coil, Fractale, Lain, Accel World (very recent and from the same author) and the list goes on. What SAO has that is new is that the virtual world is more MMORPG like than any other: collecting items, improving your equipment, earning experience points to get more strong, etc. This is nice (although I never played any MMORPG, only RPGs) but not really enough to rise above the crowd. To me, the main selling point is the love relationship between the main characters. While it’s not perfect, i.e. the romance, It’s much more intense and satisfactory than any other anime with strong love plots/subplots: Zero no Tsukaima, Toradora, Bakemonogatari.
Let’s think a little: without Asuna, what would be the reason to keep Kirito going on? Just survival? Getting more and more strong to fight stronger enemies? “Love” for his male comrades? I’m tired of that kind of cliche bullshit. Let the romance blossom, yeah!

60. havent watched Dennou Coil, but Fractale isnt even remotely similar. Lain has a remotely simalr idea and a completely different concept. .Hack has a very simialr idea but also a very different concept.
also Bakemonogatari isnt really a Romance type of show.
and yeah, survival.

61. UTW! Do you know what song is playing at the start of this episode? It sounds so relaxing please tell me! 🙂

it’ll probably come out along with the OST disc if it hasn’t already…

63. It’s pandering to the worst kind of fanbase, so yeah. What would you expect?
I’m not saying it’s bad, but it can be annoying. yes.

64. @Break
There are no difference between idea and concept. The idea/concept of a virtual world, videogame like, where avatars interact instead of actual people isn’t new. “Oh! But now the approach to the MMORPGs that I love so much is bigger than any other series before!” You will say, and I will reply: one story doesn’t need to be exactly like another one to share the same idea/concept. The virtual world of SAO is a cliche, so much that I only started watching it after twelve episodes where released. Only after that I discovered that it was based on the light novels by the same author of Accel W. that I gave it a chance. Now I can place it among the best animes I’ve watched, because, in spite of being a cliche, the way that an old idea/concept is presented is new and interesting. The cliche is reworked. Romance is a cliche? Yes, Romeo and Juliet was already a cliche, but the unique way the story is told is what keeps it alive almost five hundred years it was written.
Romance in shonen, when not inexistent, is so weak that it could be left out the story. The majority of shonen (seinen much less) ends before the main couple, when there is one, doesn’t share a kiss, hold hands or even saying clearly “I love you”. A very tiresome cliche is when the girl dies after the “I love you” is said or a kiss happens. Remember Gurren Laggan? I feared Asuna would die after she and Kirito declared and consumed their love. But very fortunately I doesn’t happened (I would stop watching in that case) and OMG! They even have sex! I could be satisfied with less, but since so much screen time was given to their relationship, their love, it places SAO above any other shonen/seinen I remember watching.

65. So is it just me, or in that picture does Asuna have a REALLY long neck? consider where it joins up to her head, then down to her collar of her clothing, then down further to her shoulders of which we can’t see, is it just me?
As always thanks for the fantastic sub work ^^ compared to paid “legit” services like crunchyroll, UTW seem to do a much better job no matter what show. <3 you guys, and thanks for the new simulcast pickups, can't wait.
Gotwoot already know i love them, even if i've not said it, they know.

66. Too much d’awww, tears and boss battle in epic proportions (Ok, that’s a little bit exaggerating). And, I’ve 80% right predicted how the episode is going to be though the fishing arc is kinda hurried. The end is near and
Shepherd’s Gambit are in play.
:3

67. @Kagumi i never said romance is cliche, romanc eis a genre. also i dont play any mmorpgs.
its just a fact that the romance in SAO is pretty flat, but that sokay since its not the main point. the main point of SAO is Kirito.
im gonna stop here now though, we arent really gettign anywhere.

68. @Kamugin Asuma your waifu?
look, if she dies, there are plenty of girls left….. And yes, I’m one of the people who find her annoying, to much LOVE (they even start to attack and defend together while NOBODY ELSE IN THE FUCKING GAME IS DOING IT; etc). Good thing she won’t appear that much in the next parts.
After the “If you end up killed, I’ll suicide”, “I can’t live without you”, “We got out first child”, every time she kills something, fanboys show up, etc. I had enough Asuna.
—————————————————————————
Its not about romance being bad. But Asuna and Kirito’s romance are taking way to much screen time (about 19 minutes or so this time), while they could use 1 or 2 more minutes to show how people are getting killed by the boss instead of “to terrified to even try to block, lets not block the attack at all and get killed in 1 hit”.

69. ups, messed her name and typed Asuma instead of Asuna at start…

geez…. just enjoy the story people.

71. I thought it was a little rushed on how they did this episode…but I’m wondering if they are attempting to do both ALO and GGO….

72. Great subs, but…. I really think they messed up on this episode. For one example is we who have read the light novel know why Asuna went incognito during the fishing, yet in here she just somehow appears with a turban covering her hair and a really really long dress that just doesn’t fit her image in the previous episodes, even those she’s not KoB uniform. It just really jumps out and yells weird at me…

73. Does someone know what the AWxSAO scroll said?? I was just curious… Thank you for your time and consideration.

74. Charkelle on September 30, 2012 at 7:48 pm said:

@Break: While that’s true, one thing to keep in mind is that the LN is written in first person, meaning that when that was said we were seeing her from the perspective of a teenage guy (It’s in the narration, but Kirito is the narrator).

75. Charkelle on September 30, 2012 at 7:49 pm said:

Sorry, didn’t realize there was another page of comments here, that was directed at the comment from the end of the previous page.

76. Cliche? LOL… Can you think of something that haven’t been done before? It’s like a car with wheels. It’s just how one would dress it up.
There is nothing wrong with the STORY, Kirito and Asuna’s romance is great, the fighting scenes are a let down sometimes but other times it’s awesome. The only reason anyone would say this show is bad is because how compress it is so go read the LN and you would know how balance the fighting and romance it really is.
This show is great for the LN readers as it put more of a connection from book 1 to the after thoughts in book 2. It aline things that wasn’t shown like the pendent around Asuna’s neck and such.
So in the end I understand why some would dislike the SHOW because of the compress and cut short on fighting but hating the character Asuna for it? Really???

77. Crap… the line I type “IT WOULD ALWAYS HAVE WHEELS” didn’t show up for some reason…==

78. @New>>
No, I can’t be her “husubando”, I’m not good enough.
And Asuna get the on screen time she deserves because, besides being Kirito’s lover, she is a warrior/player as good as Kirito, it couldn’t be different. Other thing that makes SAO better than many others animes is that the fights take very little screen time, with most of them not being shown at all. I’m not tired of Asuna and Kirito duo, what I’m tired is of those endless shonen fights that takes at least three episodes each. Why don’t you try something different for a change? If not, there are so many other animes you could watch. How about One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Soul Eater or Fairy Tail? Let the romantic people like me have SAO.

79. anonymous on September 30, 2012 at 8:41 pm said:

oh shit, i dont really wanna fight that boss only using sword. maybe only if i had magic, trap, explosive or even bazooka or cannon..
well, asuna is the only flower in the front line so it cant be helped haha, it would be great if theres another girl, or so. if kirito imouto is trapped as well, she was definetly in frontline (note:lyfa)
actually its understandable youre getting “blanked” fighting boss at that level. a fierce mouse can kill a cat, but they dont have it despite front-liners. kirito even got hesistate a moment, cant expect those pussies to get a fighting spirit cant we?
if someone like gutts in berserk shown up, now THATS interesting hee he he… that guys seems like the type that wont stop attacking even if he died.
“ehem” otherwise, since sao is popular i guess alo will be shown up? maybe even alicization -smirk-

Anyways, my prediction for this episode wasn’t that far off. I just didn’t take into account that unlike Accel World, they don’t like stopping at cliffhangers.

83. Also to anyone saying it’s cliche, you might want to recall the original version was written in 2002.

I didn’t think that episode was rushed. However I do think every episode previous was rushed. I read the LN after seeing episode one, so maybe my memory of this part is a bit hazy. As for selling Asuna. I don’t think so. We already seen her so much in the anime. Especially with the previous Yui episode and that whole family thing. The amount of Asuna coverage in the anime (correct time/linear) versus volume (reading order) is why I think it feels that way.

87. diegolg on October 1, 2012 at 4:30 am said:

The thing is there won’t be a story with out Asuna or even future story after Aincrad. With out her there wouldn’t be any emotional change or build in any of the character in the story. It would only be some boring show with a boring show fighting his way up to the top floor. What you see in this episode was a major character build up for Kirito to really care for her later on and yes the story is rush that is why it was pack to what is seems she got so much air time.

@Raze
You are crazy. BRING ON THE ASUNA!!!
I wouldn’t be watching this show if it weren’t for her!

90. @Kamugin
if it wasn’t for Asuna, Kirito would’ve find another girl. Though, won’t deny that if no Asuna, Kirito would’ve been dead a few times already.
About “fights”. How about you try playing a MMO (even for 5-10minutes)…. the thing you do 80% of the time is FIGHT and KILL stuff. So, them over cutting fighting parts they are cutting a huge part of the “game” (I don’t want 5 episodes for 1 fight, but it would be nice for it to last about 5minutes). They can use the extra time to properly present game mechanisms…
——————————————————————
@Cyou
you’r predicted answer is bad, even Agil blocks with a weapon (less effecting then shield).
In ALL games when you BLOCK, you take LESS damage then if you STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING, with the exceptions of moves that bypass defense.
As shown a few second later, that boss’s attacks can be blocked (if you don’t know if a attack can be blocked or not, you still block…… since its still better then crying in fear and actually dying)
Also, everyone is supposed to be about 10 lvs higher then current floor (they are front-liners, yet they act like newbies playing their first game). You’re in a game for your life… you got a shield with you, facing “imminent death”. You don’t even try to block? Dafuq is wrong with you….
They could have spend a few more seconds showing how the boss is pressing them so badly that they die instead of Asuna’s “How I’ve fallen in-love with Kirito presented to Mr Fisherman” which was just extra Asuna screen time.

91. Kohiro on October 1, 2012 at 10:43 am said:

Err… This story is about LIVING in the MMO. Playing it and living it is quit different…

92. @man00ver
I’m intended to point out Heathcliff will reveal himself as Akihiko Kayaba when they clear Level 94 but Kirito manage to see it through after they barely defeated The Skullreaper. Same move pulled by General Shepherd at his 141 team but at the cost of two of members and warning came a little too late (Yeah, MW are in my system recently and need to get it out :3).
But, yours somehow fits with the ending of Aincard too. So, it’s unintended
🙂

93. @New: Hint: Trying to block the scythes doesn’t work very well. See 20:44, and Kirito’s one of the highest level people. As for Agil, he only got hit by the tail, and wasn’t the primary target of it. And he still took an arm hit.
Also, I’m pretty sure that even if you have a shield, it’d be difficult trying to figure out which way to run if a skeleton demon’s dropping right on top of you. And then even after running from that, try convincing your body to block and not run when it rushes you right after, especially when you’re off balance from said skeleton demon dropping behind you.
And not to mention that you can see people trying to block. It just doesn’t work very well.

94. block not working well = you still live, barelly, but still alive
no block at all = you’re dead
Those people that are trying to block, even if not working properly, won’t die in 1 hit since they don’t take full damage..

Now, I do hate to keep doing the “LN did it better” thing, but there are a few things I feel I have to bring up in regards to this episode:
One thing that was mentioned in the LN that was not mentioned as far as I can remember in the anime was why the 75th floor boss was so powerful. It’s stated in the LN that the boss of every 25th floor (25, 50, 75, and theoretically 100) was significantly more powerful than those before it. This on top of the fact that the bosses were all portrayed as very powerful, for the most part needing large groups 10+ levels above them to take down without any deaths (keep in mind that this is without any deaths. In a normal MMO deaths are expected in fights like these, but because of the nature of SAO they can’t allow any, thus needing such a level lead).
Secondly, and this is mostly just nitpicking at decisions made for the anime, I’ve seen a few comments about Asuna and kirito attacking together as they did. This was not something done in the LN, though they did work together to block one of the scythes (Neither of them are very focused on defense, despite the fact that they are two of the highest level players in the group, and even working together they were still taking damage). Combinations attacks simply weren’t something that existed in the system, though if two people worked well enough together it would actually be possible to fight side-by-side instead of switching (which was presented mainly as a safety/efficiency concern, that it was very hard to fight effectively if you had to worry about someone else being so close to you, especially as all of the sword skills are pre-set movements controlled by the system and only initiated by the player). For those who do know the details, I’m aware that I oversimplified this explanation a bit in places, mainly because I want to avoid spoilers and being too long-winded.

I read the Light Novels and I don’t know if I forgot something or if the studio screwed up in this episode. Shouldn’t Kirito still be wearing the KoB uniform?

97. Charkelle on October 1, 2012 at 6:50 pm said:

@inillortep: I believe he was wearing his normal outfit here in the LN too, because he and Asuna are still technically “on leave” from the guild at this point (Asuna always wore her KoB uniform, though, and likely didn’t have any armour besides that, due to having been a member for much longer). They simply came for the sake of helping with the boss fight after hearing that people had already died.

98. inillortep on October 1, 2012 at 7:19 pm said:

I thought about that as a possibility but I just checked the images from the LN and he actually is wearing the KoB uniform in this fight. http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/images/3/3d/Sword_Art_Online_Vol_01_-_299.jpg
For a black and white picture, he is wearing a uniform of a very light shade of grey, which can be assumed to be white since the room is dark. Klein has much darker aromor. Also, there is a cross on the collar which can be seen in episode 10. I think it’s safe to say they screwed up in the anime. 😛

I would like to point out that ‘love’ in general (in real life and in anime) is cliche, so if you are saying AsunaxKirito is cliche, you might as well admit that love in general is cliche. This episode was awesome though ^^.
@Kamugin here is a page for a torrent with the .pdf files of SAO if you want:

@joker
Love is cliche. Truth. And THAT is the problem. Love and Peace. Why not some more angst, a little tragedy…. oh wait….. we’re getting there.

102. Charkelle on October 2, 2012 at 1:42 am said:

@inillortep: I think it’s actually an inconsistency in the LN itself between the text and illustration, in that case. I just double-checked myself, and a quote from the end of chapter 19 (Just before they go meet Heathcliff):
As she tapped me on the back, I finally stood up with reluctance and opened the equipment screen. Since we weren’t part of the guild right now, I put on my familiar black leather coat and a minimalistic set of armor, then slung my two swords onto my back with the scabbards crossing each other. The heavy weight on my back felt like they were complaining about being left in the inventory for so long. With a quick movement, I drew them slightly and then sheathed them again; a high and clear metallic sound rang through the room.
“Yeah. This appearance suits you best.”
103. inillortep on October 2, 2012 at 2:17 am said:

Well then, I guess inconsistency it is. The black looks better anyways, he goes through every other story wearing all black. Thanks for quoting that, now my mind can be at rest.

104. @New: Like I said, try blocking when off balance from the boss dropping onto the ground behind you. I’d be surprised if your arm even gets there due to the large motion needed.
@Charkelle: “The enemy attacked so fast that it didn’t even leave breathing room, but we still managed to counter it every time by activating the same skills at precisely the same instant.” I’d say that counts as attacking together.

Hi. Tomorrow, the CyberCrime Law will be implemented in the Philippines, disabling the ability of us Filipino netizens to access and download HD Subbed episodes via torrent. Sucks. Is it possible that you guys post the HD .mkv episodes to sites such as mediafire as well? I really love your subs and I am really looking forward to complete SAO for my collection. Thanks a bunch and more power to you guys. 🙂

Can you use IRC Ron? I believe if you can get onto that fine you should have no troubles downloading a release. It’s sure to be on bots there.
Otherwise if it’s really a big problem for people they might change where you upload to for ddl. But everyone seems to complain whenever that happens.

Nah, you’re just imagining things, Raze.
I wish there were more “fillers” like Rod Art Online. I wouldn’t mind 50 episodes of them or something. Honestly.

109. Kazeto on October 2, 2012 at 7:51 pm said:

@Charkelle:
Well, being on leave technically counts as not being a part of the guild for that event. It is not that they were recalled from their leave, but rather that they were asked to help despite being on leave. So there’s some fridge logic going there, but it’s hard to get for some people because there’s no such function in most games (but if you’ve ever belonged to some group that did some stuff and were on leave for some reason and still were asked to come because they really needed your help with something, you could come dressed however you wanted unless it was required that you dress in a specific way because the outfit was required too (pretty much only if you were a performer, because only then would you need to dress the way you used to normally).

@jarhead Well I’m fine with the typical love thing, what’s wrong with society right now is that nothing is good enough for them XD. But I am enjoying both the anime and I ship the KiritoxAsuna couple, so I think anyone who whines about the anime or explains it’s inconsistencies are crazy XD.

Thanks for the release. Please keep up the good work! ^_^

112. Too bad the usual uploader for the next episode trailer cannot post the latest preview on the YouTube due to new copyright law that been in effect since Oct 1st. You can view it on the official website.
So, the trailer just a recap the events that had happened in Aincrad towards the final confrontation. They didn’t show who/what Kirito opponent is (Kirito is charging with both of his swords drawn towards something at the end of the trailer).
Go figure :3

113. I think the problem is that they rushed Kirito’s and Asuna’s romance.
There probably isn’t time to fully developed their characters and relationship while still setting up the background and telling the story – either that or the characters were written this way to begin with.
The most interesting thing about this show has been it’s setting, the characters (and there are so many of them) have kind of taken a back seat.

114. Admiral Kikan on October 6, 2012 at 3:09 am said:

@Salt, you must not have read the Light Novels… of course the anime will feel rushed no matter what.. or they could take their time and do what Dragon ball z did and take 4 to 5 episodes to explain something simple XD

115. Thanks! (^^)
