Three Years and Counting! Happy Birthday, UTW!
Today is the day our group turns three years old!
Generations of fansubbers have come and gone, and our small circle of staff has seen graduations, marriages, and beyond. Lots of things happen in three years, and we even lived through the End of the World.
But here we are, still subbing just like we did in 2010. I owe much to our staff, previous and current, for their tireless contributions, and of course, to you for your continued and spirited support all of these years. Thank you, staff and fans, for keeping UTW going and making it worth every step of the way!
To mark this occasion, I’ve decided to set up a couple new polls to take a quick trip down memory lane. Please let us know which of our projects you enjoyed watching!
Nobody bothered doing anything for April Fools again, so I guess we’ll just have to admit we’re too busy for this shit boring people with no creativity. I did sort of have an April Fools idea yesterday, but I ended up spending my time either outside or studying instead.

Have to say, really in these 3 years, a lot happened, for you and for us. Since 2010 so much have changed, a lot of things for better. Seeing one anime title can even trigger a memory of the time you watched in and what was happening in your life back then.

I remember discussing translation/phrasing with you and was pretty impressed by you not having the usual “gtfo and make your own subs” stance some groups have/had. 😛

I voted in the polls. I’d been debating if I should watch the Fate/Zero Fate/Stay Night series for awhile, but after seeing that it was leading the polls I decided to start watching it. I’m usually into more of a Modoka Magica, Minimi=ke, IdolMasters, Puchimasu, Kill Me Baby types of shows. I recently began watching Little Busters because it was recommended to me. I’ve watched two episode of Fate/Zero so far (the UTW is a bit slow on the episode 1-13 batch, so I haven’t finished dl #3 yet). Anyway I’ve found the first two episodes interesting, and am currious how things will play out. First episode I had a tough time telling most of the brown and black haired guys appart since their hair and faces seemed pretty similar. Anyway thanks UTW for your work subbing all these shows. I know Fate/Zero is supposed to take place before Fate/Stay, so I’m watching Zero first. Where does Unlimited Blade (that’s listed in the polls supposed to fit in?

Although Fate Zero is set before Fate Stay Night, you should watch Fate Stay Night first so you can enjoy Zero better (Even the in the games, Fate Stay was release first and Zero expanded the franchise). Unlimited Blade Works is an alternate route of Fate Stay Night, so you can watch it after watching Stay Night.
