True to our word, we are releasing before I find that it has become the next day in my time zone. Well, at least it’s not midnight when I’m writing this post. If someone who isn’t me doesn’t screw up yet again I’m sure I’ll be correct. (Sorry bud, it even says in staff chan topic that you’re officially group scapegoat.)
By the way, I pretty much decided to make some kind of notice in the blog post whenever there’s food involved in the ep. You didn’t think you’d learn about Indian food watching animu, did you?

Well this other one should be correct since I got it from Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia. It’s some kind of Indian tea.

Also, I’m Moshiburner on LoL, if you were wondering. Just thought I’d throw it out there since gg was making its own League of Legends post.

This is one of those shows I both look forward to watching and dread. I look forward to it, because I really want to see where they take it, but…
I’m constantly filled with a bit of sadness while watching it all the same. It’s got that constant darkness in the background about the entire situation. There are a few funny moments, but as soon as the laugh is over, the water returns to the eyes.

  8. “kheer” you say?
That’s actually a pretty common dessert here in Argentina. Though we just call it “Rice with milk” (Arroz con leche) since, well, that’s what it is. It’s pretty fucking awesome with some cinnamon.

Being Punjabi, I would say kheer is more a Punjabi dish. Punjab used to encompass areas of both India and Pakistan, so alot of Pakistani people are Punjabi(maybe all, I am no historian). All I know is my mom has been making it since I was a kid.

Variations of this dish can be found not just throughout the Indian subcontinent, but in practically every area of the world. Rice pudding has been a favourite dessert in Britain for generations.

  16. Thanks for the subs!

Well, I am a native Indian person, and from what I know, “boiled rice in milk” is called “payesh”.
And, “kheer” refers to “concentrated milk with sugar.” That’s the best way to define it. And yes, wikipedia says that both “kheer” and “payesh” are same, but they are not.
Well, tbh, you add rice to kheer, and it becomes one of the varieties of payesh.
That’s the best way to put it I believe.
Also, payesh can be made not only by adding rice to kheer, but also other ingredients like Vermicelli (known as “shimoy”) etc.

Seems like kheer/payesh/arroz con leche seems fairly common worldwide. All Central and South America know it as Arroz con leche. I am from El Salvador and make this stuff all the time and Soul you are right it is best with some cinnamon.

Kheer (called as “Payasam” locally) is made in south-india too.
It tastes like rice pudding (duh). Except it’s more sweeter because of loads of sugar that goes in it (also cashews and raisins).

  38. Hey, just wanted to point out a typo for a possible v2/BD version:
2:08 -> “It’s early fall now according to the calender” should be calendar.
