Angel Beats Batch Release

Download HD:ย  [UTW]_Angel_Beats!_(BATCH)_[h264_720p].torrent
At friggin last!
While all the members of UTW put an extraordinary amount of effort into each weekly release of Angel Beats!, putting the batch together was largely relegated to ar and myself. The scripts have all been refined, many of the episodes were re-encoded, and even the insert songs were redone just for the batch.
I’ve pretty much just been waiting for the final OK to release, and so I’m very excited to present, in its entirety, Angel Beats!
It was the very first anime project I’ve ever done, and I’m absolutely thrilled to have had a chance to work on such an enjoyable show. I hope all of you who take a look will enjoy it as much as I did.
Edit – ar: Ok I muxed wrong audio for Ep08 and left a typo in the OP karaoke for Ep07 so here’s the patch! My apologies, this is what happens when everybody is too lazy to do a pass over check of stuff!
Here it is: Ep07 – Ep08 Patch (MU)

    Question:
    So if i wan to archive, do i download this batch or do i wait for BDs?

  3. aniluv,
    Your call.
    I won’t be changing any scripts for the rest of the BD’s other than ep13, which I’ll be updating with official lyrics once the Angel Beats OST is released in a week and a bit since Ichiban no Takaramono (?????) Karuta ver. is being released on it.
    We had a shot at translating it best we could, which was all but the first 2 lines since we couldn’t make out half the words of them.
    This is basically a TV complete batch. If you want the BD versions of the episodes for archiving then by all means grab them later. The last volume of the Blu-Ray won’t be out for another 5 months though.

    That some epic stuff right there thanks UTW u guy are the best

  9. Will there be a SD batch?

  10. @man
    Possibly if I get enough demand to make one. It’s quite a bit of work re-encoding all the xvid and stuff. So if the demand demands it I shall.
    Edit:
    Well I’ve started it but seriously if I have to encode the episodes more than twice each to get a proper size (because XviD is horrible like that) then I’ll be ragequitting the XviD batch because seriously after encoding each episodes XviD between 3 and 8 times each to get a ~200mb size I’ve had enough of it for this show (well any show really, but I don’t mind doing it once for the first release.)

    This is really the best show this spring. Thanks ar. I’ll download this to re-watch and archive the BDs lata. Awesome Dude.

    Thanks for the batch,I only dled eps 1-3 but there is major slow down at the end of each ep when your credits show up, also episode 3 is really jerky throughout the ep.

  13. I’ve watched through episode 3 and it wasn’t jerky at all for me. And the credit thing, it might be to do with the tags. It doesn’t display any jerkiness for me though. If you use MPC-HC all I can suggest is use the Internal Subtitle Renderer rather than DirectVobSub.

    well i have the first 2 in blue ray. the rest of the single episodes so im going to slowly replace them with blue ray version as time allows me 2. going to be a while before i go digging out the episodes again to watch.when i get the time and money im going to start burning a lot of my anime.
    or just buy a 1tb hard drive and store every thing on it.

  15. Ok I’m uploading a patch now for Ep07+08.
    Ep07 is just a tiny fix in the OP karaoke, I left out an opening bracket for one of the K tags in the kanji!
    Ep08 is a correct audio fix! I’ve checked it this time and it’s correct!
    I’ll post the link once it’s uploaded.

  16. Since this website doesn’t like me.
    Heres the Ep07-08 patch! Just download, copy the ep07+08 to another dir along with the patch (for safety in case windows does weird shit), run the bat and presto~ the two new mkvs are fixed!

  17. cking-sama on July 21, 2010 at 3:38 pm said:

    for me, episode 3 seems to be really jerky. I saw someone else had a similar problem, must be my computer i guess..

  18. cking-sama on July 21, 2010 at 3:42 pm said:

    also, the patch didnt work for me =\

  19. I ran the patch myself and patched the files, so it definitely works. Try running it through command prompt.
    Edit: Ugh.
    Forgot to include xdelta3.exe, put this in the same directory and it’ll work.

    for some reason, ab08.diff.xdelta file is 45MB but ab07.diff.xdelta is only 3Kb, is that correct? thats what i downloaded from the megaupload link

  21. See post above, yep they are right. I’ll update the patch posted at MU with xdelta3.exe, so this doesn’t happen again!

    I recall on the tv encodes, there was an error in my ffdshow that hurt the picture quality. Will I be able to avoid such an error in the blu ray version?

  23. cking-sama on July 21, 2010 at 5:26 pm said:

    hmm, ep3 is still acting odd for me. I can play all of the other ones fine but ep3 just seems a bit laggy. I’m sure its just my computer but can i get some verification?

  24. What timecodes for ep3 are weird for you? I’ve checked it a few times and from what I can tell it looks fine?

  25. @black_judgement,
    sure, you can avoid it if the problem is your end! I’m not even sure what problem you are talking about though?

  26. cooldawg on July 22, 2010 at 11:07 am said:

    1080p on the way? ๐Ÿ™‚

  27. for TV obviously not. 2nd BD volume (episode 3+4) shouldn’t be too far away though.

  28. senna on July 22, 2010 at 9:02 pm said:

    Can you please, pretty please, have Angel Beats! in SD version in a batch.
    I love this show and want your sub version because it is the best around. ๐Ÿ˜€
    Please.

  29. SD version will be when it gets done. I’ve encoded um 5 or 6 episodes so far.

  30. Scar on July 23, 2010 at 7:31 pm said:

    Sorry to bother, but I can’t seem to get the subs to appear when I play any of the episodes. I use the K-lite codec pack along with the cccp and the subs won’t appear. Can somebody help? Please and thank you.

  31. TheWingless on July 23, 2010 at 7:55 pm said:

    @Scar:
    Don’t install two codec packs at one. General consensus is that you use CCCP and uninstall K-Lite, but I don’t care what codec pack you keep.
    Or you can uninstall both and only use the standalone MPC-HC, which seems to work as well.

  32. TheWingless on July 23, 2010 at 7:56 pm said:

    You might have to reinstall the one you keep though, seeing as one or the other probably messed each other up.

  33. Scar on July 23, 2010 at 8:00 pm said:

    @TheWingless
    What does the HC mean? Also MPC can play the various types of video formats w/o codecs?

  34. TheWingless on July 23, 2010 at 8:37 pm said:

    Media Player Classic Home Cinema. It’s the new MPC that comes with CCCP/K-Lite so you don’t need to worry about it anyways.
    The Standalone MPC-HC can play videos on it’s own. It has filters and codecs based on FFDShow or something… I dunno. Just stick with CCCP I guess.

  35. TheWingless on July 23, 2010 at 8:39 pm said:

    You’ll probably need Haali’s Media Splitter if you use the standalone MPC. Not sure on that one. I have a habit of spewing out alternatives I’m not too sure on.

  36. Scar on July 23, 2010 at 8:41 pm said:

    @TheWingless:
    I think I’ll stick with standalone MPC-HC cause I’m used to it, or should I try Divx, cause my friend uses it and says its really good?

  37. TheWingless on July 23, 2010 at 10:55 pm said:

    @Scar:
    You mean the DivX H.264 decoder? It’s free and I hear it is almost on par with CoreAVC(without CUDA) so I wouldn’t say it would hurt to use it. But if your system can run H.264 without lagging behind, you can just use MPC-HC.

  38. Alex on July 24, 2010 at 3:55 am said:

    @TheWingless:
    Ok, I think I’ll go with MPC-HC then. Thank you very much for the help.

  39. OK GUYS!
    As promised, Ershin and I have updated Episode 13 ED with official lyrics (which includes the first 3 lines missing in the current script) just now. Ershin did an amazing job with the transliteration of the audio so there was only a few minor changes to make!
    So just grab the patch and update the mkv ๐Ÿ™‚
    Edit: If there is any issues with it just let me know, I tested it and it worked fine (also included xdelta3.exe this time!!!)

    @TheWingless:
    HaHa, sorry I put Alex cause that is one of the several other names I use. I just got confused, oh well.
    Thanks again for the help.

    Here is the same patch to fix episodes 7 and 8, but with less of a wait. Also, because the RAR was 40+ MB and it only saved ~100KB, it’s now an uncompressed ZIP.

    episode 10 at about 2:36 is giving me problems. Its right about when Yui stops singing, everything lags for a while. Please help

  43. cking,
    If you’re using DirectVobSub to render the subtitles stop using it and use MPC-HC internal subtitle renderer. That is what will cause the lag. The lines have multiple transforms from transparent to opaque to show the missing lyrics/translation.

  44. @raylu
    cheers for that, and yeah compressed constant bitrate audio doesn’t compress that much more, plus I used compression level 9 on the diff patch too.

  45. cking-sama on July 27, 2010 at 8:54 am said:

    i fixed the problem with episode 10, thatnks guys. But episode 3 is still ridiculously laggy everywhere, i cant quite post an specific time, its all just laggy

    gr, now i get an error message saying “D3DX9.dll not found”, i followed a guide to preventing this from appearing (even saw a video on youtube) but i cant fix the problem….

    Download this, should fix your directx issue.
    Well can’t do anything about episode 3. I’ll be doing Blu-Ray encode of ep03+04 soonish (probably a week or so) so that’ll be the replacement.

  48. cking-sama on July 27, 2010 at 4:14 pm said:

    @ar, where do you extract it?

  49. Into a directory I guess, then run the dxsetup.exe

  50. @ar, the patch worked fine, I also wish to note something I should’ve mentioned before but didn’t realise; I downloaded the batch version. ps. those occasional stutters are not evident in the main part of the video as far as I can tell, I have only observed them in the intro where it does it just enough to disrupt the music, but oh well.

  51. I just watched this series, and I must say, it was quite enjoyable… ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks guys.
