Episode 11 airs the following week, so in 2 weeks from now.

Noticed a couple changes in the translation this episode:
1. Jiantan is now Jeantan
2. Victorica’s Cold is now Flu
Was the translation source different? Just wondering for the sake of continuity.

Shonan: yes apparently their translator did this episode it isn’t the normal CR source… even though I like UTW’s subs… since I have been watching CR’s translations this entire time it feels weird for me to watch it with another translator… so I have mixed feelings about this… :/

Jiantan was wrong. Jeantan is the spelling used for the newspaper article by the animators.
Cold->Flu. Theres a perfectly reasonable explanation for this.
A cold would have been cured between the previous episode and this weeks.
Victorique was still sick at the start of this episode, thus her flu was obv. misdiagnosed as a common cold!
Actually, I was wondering about the cold/flu thing last episode too. Seemed odd she was getting a shot for a cold, but I attributed it to being a sign of the times with medication. Course, getting a shot AFTER having a flu already seems odd too, but I digress.

Is there any info on the Spring Special? Has it aired? Will UTW sub it?
It airs this Saturday morning in Japan. Depending on what kind of special it is we’ll most likely do it. If its just a recap we will skip it because subbing recap specials is pointless.
Thanks for the releases! Your translations/productions/.mkv files are the ones I have been using for archiving this great series. They are hands down my favorite version out there. Good job to you all and many thanks yet again!
Actually, I would love to see the special subtitled. You either do it all or none, that’s been my mantra. If it’s a recap, then it’s easy to do.
What’s the status on the Gosick special episode? Will it be subbed?(Haven’t checked any RAWs so I don’t know if it’s just a recap or not).
We’re not subbing it, we might do an abridged version with the Author Interview + Preview though, but since no transport stream has shown up yet there’s no timeframe.
It’s about 60% recap, 30% pointless question games with Victoriques/Cecils/Avrils/Kujos seiyuu’s (which was pretty boring and stupid), 5% interview with the GOSICK Author and a 1 minute preview of the next ep or upcoming eps + credits at the end.

The problem is nobody wants to translate the question bits because they are pretty boring, and I certainly don’t want to typeset them lol.
Until you show us proof they’re boring, we’re not going to believe they’re boring. 😛 “Typesetting” aka timing isn’t that hard. I’ve done it.
Here you go, this is the typesetting I’ve done for it. And for the record the only thing typesetting and timing have in common is that they both use timecodes 🙂
