By the way, since many of you (myself included, so thanks, Raze) might not be familiar with Mahjong, here’s a quick primer for what’s being said.
Toreba oiri – If this passes, I’ll win. Fujimaki needed one more tile to win. Sucks to be him.
Riichi – You call Riichi (in English, Reach) when you’re about to win, and this basically signifies that you’ve won.
Chi-toi – This is seven pairs, and adds a bonus to your hand.
Dora dora oyaman – Dora is a bonus tile that can double your score, and oyaman is a dealer’s mangan.
Mangan – This isn’t actually said out loud in the show, but the last term would make no sense without this. A mangan is a limit hand. Limit hands are ENORMOUS point hands, and the actual limit depends on what style you’re playing. In Japanese Mahjong, it can be 2,000 or more. It’s pretty much a rape hand.

BLACK_JUDGEMENT, I’m a little confused by your comment. I appreciate the sentiment, but neither group is subbing Angel Beats. Coalguys is subbing B Gata H Kei, and you say we’re better than them, but worse than Doki. Doki is 4 episodes behind on B Gata, so I’m at a loss as to why you’d say we aren’t “quite as good”.

We’re not planning to, rushuna. It was an unfortunate mistake, certainly, but not major enough to completely redo the release. We’ll fix it in the batch at the end of the season; we’ve already redone all the insert songs with full lyrics for that as well.
actually, this ep was completely disappointing for me. The whole ep was _way_ too rushed, the good comedy didn’t make it up for the forced drama at the end that didn’t manage to make me feel anything except annoyance. They should have built up the tension in this ep and continued in the next, imho.
Nikon: Some xvid doesn’t play properly on the 360 for stupid reasons. I tried watching one of the episodes of B Gata H Kei without converting and the video got very slow and distorted in the middle. I haven’t tried Angel Beats uncoverted so I am not sure if that works, but I’ll run a test later. It really is no big deal though because it only takes like 20 mins to convert.
