I was away the whole day until pretty much 4pm EST today doing important IRL stuff. Apparently the ts was delayed again, only this time we didn’t get a workraw until right when I got back. Ershin had to translate the entire thing off CCs without video and audio help, IGChris couldn’t edit because he has class if we’re not fast enough, Kusion had to pick up his granddad from the airport, ar did something weird and we had to adapt to a new workraw and shit being off by a few frames, Aegisub trolled me way too many times today, I was tired as balls from a long day (and actually long week too), and anyone who actually knows Japanese (and Japanese 101, years of watching anime, your dictionary, your Bachelor’s degree, etc. do NOT count) will know Japanese is practically 50% contextual and therefore translating from CCs (and having to fix the result) is like shooting yourself in the balls.

This week, Ershin was here before everyone else, we all freaked out when the ts didn’t appear until an hour later than usual, ar almost left for work, I made poor commander`A waste his time, Kusion almost ragequit, Kemeko raged again, and IGChris missed out on a Economics lecture about Supply and Demand because he was editing in class. Fun stuff.

Translation was actually done about three hours after airtime, but we didn’t get a work raw until much later. Every one of us also had to leave for dinner one after the other, which delayed the release even further. We also went ahead and did signs we really didn’t have to because we’re awesome.
This was a really good episode though, with lots of Miya and Sae action. The butt-annoying narrator is back and creepy as ever.

Things really didn’t go as planned today during the subbing process for multiple reasons, hence the delay. Kusion-chan’s Check™ is a new segment over hereat Unlimited Translation Works. It’s the part of the day where I look over godly shit and talk about how godly it is. Sure, no songs I list out have any real cons, but I’ll add one or two to shut some people up.
Today on Kusion-chan’s Check™, we have Satou Rina singing the ending theme to Amagami SS, starting of course at episode 5. The song is entitled: ????????? Kitto Ashita wa… (Tomorrow For Sure, Definitely Tomorrow, etc.)
The character voice is Tanamachi Kaoru.
All right. Enough small-talk. Let’s get this shit rolling. It’s a quick review (fuck you, it’s 1 minute 30 seconds long), but I’m sure you get the gist of it.
PROS
1) The melody is smooth. I mean, really, I can listen to this all day. Which reminds me, SINGLE WHERE?
2) Her voice? How can I word this… It’s like an angel is singing to me. It’s very soft-spoken.
3) The lyrics are fantastic. Maybe I’m just being gay for like this song.
CONS
1) Like any other fucking song you’ll hear in Japan, you’ll notice they like to use ENGRISH here and there. Do I care? No (nor should you). Does it make sense? Not really.
2) There are no other cons because she is fucking perfect.
If I was married to Satou Rina, I’d probablyask her to wake me up in her singing voice. Can you think of a better way to wake up in the morning? I didn’t think so.

It’s true. Though I’m such a huge supporter/fan of the anime (both, in fact), I have to say that I much rather enough manga-style-Misaka more than anime-style-Misaka. The voice is a huge plus, though. But I can say this for any manga character I truly enjoy.
If you have not yet read the manga, but are watching the anime, I highly recommend you do so. It’s a very interesting read for a very interesting show. Considering a majority of people haven’t probably read much, I won’t post much about the manga. I don’t want to spoil it for you and all.
