I loled at, 1. the picture, 2. @ Fujioka – you dare call yourself Fujioka and not know there is actually 3 seasons of Minami-ke + 1 OVA and 3. @ Pscyho there is SO a season 2, it’s called Minami-ke Okawari and Minami-ke Okaeri, is the third season plus 1 OVA called Minami-ke Betsubara.

there are a lot of miname-ke fans that say the 2nd season was so bad, the 3rd even worse, that they simply deny their existence so they just have the fond memories of the 1st one.
i think that’s what fujioka did there.
i don’t really think so, maybe the first one was better, i don’t remember, but the other seasons were watchable for me.
The only thing about the 3rd season that sucked was the animation quality in the first episodes. It either became better in the latter episodes or i got used to it and didn’t care. I don’t know what people have against the 2nd episode though, nothing changed except the style. And I actually like the 2nd/3rd season style more than the first.
@ anon I also think they were pretty watchable.
@ Soukyuu The difference between the 3 seasons has to be due to 3 different main Director, not counting the multitude of ep director, The changing of production company for S1 Daume and S2-3 Asread.
There was also a Drama CD that I found that did a crossover of Minami-Ke and the kids from Kyou no Go no Ni (Today’s Class 5-2) playing dodge ball and then Kana asking all the kids if Ryouta was a decent guy. Some of the answers were pretty funny if you are familiar with Kyou no Go no Ni. Aihara: “His fingers are…Fantastic” Chiaki: “Haruka-neesama, what does that…” Haruka: “Never mind about that. Let’s go talk about dinner, over there, okay?”
