This episode brings us up to the first major battle in the 4th Holy Grail War, featuring Irisviel’s delicious legs as she gingerly steps into the sea on a cold winter night, as well as Saber in a suit. I guess there’s also Kiritsugu with his guns.

  5. UTW maybe not the fastest, but the quality of the sub is far better than all of the “fast” guys. And that is something that’s worth waiting, for me.

    what is your point? 10 so called hours later but still the best release. If you want quality then you wait for it, no different than waiting for Shana from eclipse + static subs.

  24. @anono big deal. the anime is simulcasted by aniplex, the 10 hours earlier groups obviously are just video releases of that streamed subs. no different from horriblesubs or funisubs. (not that they would be always bad.)
    also, what screw HF not only is HF awesome, withotu HF , Hollow Ataraxia’s story doesnt make sense, it refers to all three routes way too much to leave one out! though of course i understand you want to see avenger animated, hes such an awesome character.

I totally agree. without HF route, hollow/ataraxia would be meaningless. it is a continuation of HF. if nt then why suddenly Rider is still there n suddenly Sakura is the heroine? those tat didnt play the VN would be confuse. well I’m seriously hoping they make HF after Fate/Zero is complete if nt then they should do a remake of Tsukihime!
    Oh and btw, UTW ROCKS! been waiting patiently for this ep to be release, in no hurry to watch(coz I already read the novel :P) Great job u guys! (Y)

  29. @infinityfreedom right! well, more like hollow/ataraxia is a timeparadoxoncontinuation of all routes, which is why both ilya and saber , btu also sakura and rider are still alive.. as well as all the servants (shotagilgamesh, and lancer, are both so dammn epic in HA!)
    in case DEEN still holds rights for fate/stay night, i hope they let ugotable make HF and then they can make HA themselves, i mean DEEN is oaky with comedy and action-stuff, but HF is way too dark for them! DEEN’s writers just suck with anything dark or dramatic, mostly.

  38. I just wish that this was not in 10-bit. Means that if I go to make the file smaller I mess up the picture, even when I update my codec pack.

  40. Animate Hollow/Ataraxia? Pff, no way. I honestly think that if we have to wait for anything else in the Fate franchise after this, it should be Heaven’s Feel. Then, maybe then, Ataraxia should follow suit.

  43. @someone which pack are you using, CCCP works but has pretty shitty performance, there are some better options you can try. Nightly builds of VLC support 10-bit, mplayer2 is a very functional player, K-lite is full of stuff (including LAV Filters, which are alot better than the ffdshow CCCP is based on). Also how old is your computer, maybe its not up to the job of decoding 10bit

  44. @Huh assassin has extreme multiple perosnalities and can split up into up to 80 different persons. they will all only have 1/80 of his strength though, but tis not like he could be used for raw power anyways; hes an assassin after all.

  59. Hm. For some reason, subtitles aren’t showing up for me. I’ve updated all of my codecs, and they work for the first two episodes. Does anybody know what’s wrong?

    Search in your taskbar, right-click Haali media splitter, click S:Styled Subtitles [English].
    Or
    Enable VS Autoload VS Filter on you Haali Media Splitter settings.

  66. I was holding back on the Fate series but honestly I have a weakness for beauties with white hair and blue and/or red eyes. So yeah, starting Fate!
    Heeding your warning I’ll watch Fate/stay night first. But then it’s off to Zero!
    And thanks for the endless flow of quality fansubbing!
    PS… for those with issues on playback, I never encounter problems. I have the latest DivX, Xvid, Matroska, and MPEG/etc codecs. I also have found Media Player Classic Home Cinema to be my player of choice. Works great and rather tiny itself.

  68. Anyway, if you’re trying to play this on Linux, use the Daily Builds of mplayer. I’m on Ubuntu and the one in the Repos doesn’t decode it correctly, but the Dailies do.

  69. I was entirely frustrated by my lack of ability to play 10 bit for weeks now. It is NOT the case that one needs to simply install the new CCCP for some of anime fans out there. I had just about given up until I read and followed this guide http://haruhichan.com/wpblog/?p=205.
    No idea why other “easier” methods failed for me…but I am guessing that much of this has to do with type of video card. I have a high end machine and couldn’t believe the problems I was having. Hope this helps others that are as frustrated as I was.

    The first thing I did when I got back to a place with internet access was to check your releases! Even though I can’t watch your episodes without lagging substantially( only have access to an outdated notebook =( ), it won’t stop me from following your subs. Until I can get my hands on a desktop computer with good processor, Thank you again UTW! You guys are truly awesome =)

  74. This is the best anime adaption amongst all TYPE-MOON’s products.
    [Other than the parody anime Carnival Phantasm]
    I would suggest you to play the visual novel/PC game of Fate/Stay Night rather than watching the anime. DEEN ruined the anime, it hurts my eyes. Btw, Tsukihime anime sucked big time as well.

  80. There is no problem once I download all the new codecs, the pictures and subs run pretty fine, until I get to converting it to different video formats: I can’t. I use Xvid PSP ver. 5 to convert my videos, but somehow I’m unable to convert your videos. I tried to use updated versions of Xvid PSP, but even learning how to use it, I’m still unable to convert it the way I want. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried looking for help on the website, but I can’t a particular subject that relates to this problem.

  87. I really hate it when an episode ends on battle scene because it makes you die to see the next episode. UTW should always aim to put loli or cute faces as the picture from now on.

  88. Lunar Legend Tsukihime is the name of the anime in the US, all you have to do is a simple google search.
    The anime does exist, it has for a few years now, it already has been translated to English. [Sub/Dub]
    @Eternia, I thought the anime was decent for its time of release.
    @Korusnarek, Thanks for the heads up, but I think that’s just an alternate name. It might not be a remake.

  89. Onvera you are absolutely correct about Tsukihime. What your missing is that a large majority of the tsukihime fan base hated the anime adaptation and would rather delusionaly believe that an anime was never made. It gets old and annoying real fast, hence my earlier comment.
