Index doesn’t do anything and doesn’t really go through any character development. It’s not even a matter of one being better than the other, It’s like they didn’t even try to make Index interesting.
I’d like Index more if she did her Spell Intercept more. When she pulled that out against the Golem in Season 1 it was epic.
Actually, if she did anything, really. Someone should seriously tell her she can do magic. It’d be epic incarnate.
In the end, Misaka is just more developed (as a character) than Index. And chainsaw sand is just icing on the cake.
