    @shinoo well it was most likely to happen in japan if anywhere, since its at the border of 4 tectonic plates… earthquakes are to be expected then, but yeah, the intensity of that particular one was of course something unique… and it of course caused the tsunami afterwards.. (tsunamis are usually caused by earthquakes under the sea. i guess that one either was partly under the sea or strong enough to reach there,,)
