So I finally got off my lazy butt and threw the Hidan no Aria batches together.
None of the SD releases have been changed. I didn’t really need to v2 any of the HD releases either, but I did for three of the episodes to fix the following:
- Episode 1: “Baretta” –> “Beretta”
- Episode 2: “And I thought the Kinji the Dark…” –> “And I thought Kinji the Dark…”
- Episode 9: “Why would you want to know what?” –> “Why would you want to know that?”
TL;DR I v2’d three episodes to fix a typo in each. This is of course necessary since we really care about Hidan no Aria and want people to have the perfect viewing experience etc.
The Ano Hana batches do need quite a bit of work, though, so we’re hoping to release that in a week or two.

Or rather you really care about anything with UTW’s name on it etc. Which is nice, I guess. Such a professional attitude is contagious. So I don’t know whether to thank you or curse you, or a bit of both, but now I suddenly feel the urge to be a bit more professional about my own project…

I usually wait for someone to make the xdelta patches and post them here, after which I link the patches in the main post. Our followers are usually pretty diligent in making the patches, so it’s just a matter of time, I reckon.
@Raze: Not sure. I doubt anyone will make patches for this one just because it is “Hidan no Aria.”

Can’t believe you’d even think that 🙁 I’ll be in the hope someone does release a patcher, as there is no point downloading for 3 typo fixes.

I just want to say I watched on a site episode 5 of Aria, and it was the worst ever, it turned out to be from GG subs, seems like those people don’t care about the quality of what they release or they just disliked the series. (in that case why not just avoid subbing it in the first place anyway?!)
I am not english, this means I already have to know english extra to understand subbed anime, and it makes me cringe if the subs themself are this terrible.
I will avoid GG subs from now on whenever I can, despite that I usually don’t care who makes the subs aslong they are made properly, GG subs gave me a permanent negative opinion of them.
I will now download your subs for this anime, I am hopeful that you really did better than those imbeciles, I have seen some of your subbed series so I hope you don’t mess up any just because a personal dislike for it.

@Drake, I know what you mean. GG sometimes has good subs, and others they just troll. I always stick with the reputable subbers. My likings happen to be UTW, Chihiro, Doki, YesY, Shinsen, and StaticSubs. And several others that have died recently too. Eclipse R.I.P.

The patch worked great for episode 1 (patched and deleted) but fails for 2/9. Everything seems to be right tho. I took Homer’s download and mixed it myself.
Also, nice page you got going. Def will be visiting it now.

I’m not complaining, but any info on Idolmaster? I’m sticking with UTW and you were so enthusiastic about it 2 weeks ago. So just wondering why Doki got there first
I’m kind of sad on how the anime played out for this. I’m reading the light novels at the moment and they are at least decent and readable, just finished volume five.
I didn’t absolutely hate this but I had high hopes for Aria and it just utterly fell flat. I only enjoyed it for the fact being a generic harem, lolis with guns and super powers etc. Oh well…

chieftain20’s script was great, except I don’t keep file names the same because of so when I went to edit it, was so disappointed. Ultimately I just wrote my own script to do the job of patching stuff easily and now I’m sharing it. The general idea is you can put _everything_ in the same .bat with little additional stuff to add new files, have error messages if/when stuff goes wrong, optionally stop patching if you must have each step work, etc. One script to patch them all. If you make .bat files to help people, you are awesome, but please take a look at this and you’re more than welcome to make use of it and modify it in any way.
