Love your releases. Curious: why 576p?
Not that I think you’re wrong, just curious why recently, so many people have been upscaling DVDs. Is there a benefit?

It’s a bit easier to typeset to and subs render more sharply in vsfilter, I guess.

  3. So this is the second episode of this OVA?

Any plans to do the first?

Just a heads up, you got beat to the Railgun movie.

  5. Just a heads up, no one cares, kadleck.

  6. @kadleck
You know, we did get beaten, but we also don’t give a shit. Enjoy your bad re-encoded share raws with hardsubs and sub-par translations.

Regardless of what anime databases and/or other fansub groups might consider it, I see no mention of Omatase on that title screen. It’s also referred to only as Minami-ke Natsuyasumi in the credits.

Hitomi best girl. For sure. I just love her voice, too.
Also, that was a pretty blatant Hataraku Maou-sama reference at the end.

    BTW nice chapter titles!

    thanks for releasing this
mmm, there’s something starnge @ 1:38, when Kana turns her head, like some lines
encode issue? plan to fix it?

  13. Who edited this shit? Kana-chan doesn’t talk like that!
It’s feels very different from Tadaima.

  14. Me. I also edited the main show, for your information, and the rest of the staff were the same as well.
I don’t change very much overall.

  15. Tadaima wasn’t like this much if at all. Your style is almost the same with every character and show you edit so I had a hunch. What the character speaks isn’t what’s written in the subs.
Glad honorifics was kept but in exchange in reading that stuff I’ll pass. This ain’t no personal attack I just really dislike how you edit. To me, it ain’t trying to be accurate as one can be but at least your imaginative with words. I don’t toss much of what UTW releases but this one I was glad to.

  16. >Tadaima wasn’t like this much if at all.
    >Your style is almost the same with every character and show you edit so I had a hunch.
I edited Tadaima, so these two statements contradict each other. I’ll also thank you not to make assumptions about my style, the way I edit (considerably more conservatively than you believe), or the translation accuracy itself. If you knew enough Japanese to comment on accuracy, you wouldn’t need to watch subs in the first place.

Here comes Minami-Ke OVA. When will the Chuunibyou OVA be out? How is the progress on that one?

  18. I don’t watch Tadaima. I don’t understand anime without sub. But I can tell that what those characters said is not what written in the sub.

  19. I watched this 28 minutes only for the last 4 minutes.
It was really boring and disappointing >.<

If you don’t understand Japanese, how the hell do you know that what the characters said wasn’t what the subtitle showed, Kucing?

  21. @Dmon
The most obvious is the last sub, cola -> soda.
Although I don’t understand Japanese, but I already watched anime for years, so I can recognize some famous words, and I feel weird when those words not on the subtitle.

  22. @Kucing So you’re basically confessing to be a weeaboo who prefers completely literal translations.
Liberal translations can go a bit far at times, but cola to soda is not “going too far”.
