And here we are with the Suisei no Gargantia OVAs at last. These are some very well-done episodes, especially for OVAs, and it was great fun working on these and revisiting the settings and characters from the show. Hope you enjoy them as well.
Our translator for the main series was unavailable, so we did a substantial translation check and edit of the on-disc subs instead.
The remaining episodes of Petit Gargantia are being worked on and will be done when they’re done.
edit: Episode 15 was v2’d to add a missing font. If you already downloaded the v1, grab the patch and run the .bat file appropriate to your resolution. Sorry about that.

same as redisdead I too wonder when we will see the end of Petit Gargantia :3
F8 start doing the BDs for this show and probably using your subs, it will be a shame if we won’t be able to see a perfect batch from him (Series+OVAs+SPs) : o
P.S does I the only one who didn’t was aware of the second OVA?

7. Wow, you were actually doing this? What about Chuu2 OVA?

9. Didn’t see this coming.
I was about to watch the OVAs yesterday but waited and instead watched Samurai Flamenco.
It paid off and I’m glad I made that decision.
Thanks for the release.

@Fujiri: Guess they’ll release Chuunibyou OVA before the 2nd season starts if they decide to sub that one too.

11. Any chance you might please convert these to .mp4 format so I can watch then on my Xbox?

12. Convert them yourself. It’s easy.

Well at least that explains the colonel’s backstory on how he got onto earth.

Hate to be a bad guy but are there any updates on WA2. I need my Touma.

15. So what about 1080p and AAC audio?

16. Ooh, forgot about these. They had on-disc English subs, huh? I wonder if that’s a common thing, haven’t really heard of it before for a Japanese release.

17. @a747
Step 1) Extract the flac audio from the mkv.
Step 2) Decode the flac audio to wav (this is a lossless process)
Step 3) Encode the pcm audio to aac with qaac -V127.
Step 4) Remux the newly encoded aac audio with the rest of the stuff from the mkv minus the flac track.
Step 5) Profit from having a choice to encode the audio into whatever format you want without having to work with a lossy source.

18. so Striker was an authoritative bitch and messed up from the start?

If your xbox is on the same network as your computer get a program called universal media server (http://www.universalmediaserver.com/) and you can just stream all video files straight to your xbox it works in a similar fashion to windows media player streaming but is a lot easier to use, i use it to watch everything on my PS3 and it has worked almost flawlessly only issues i ran into was when i tried to run it over wireless, a wireless 100Mbit connection wasn’t fast enough for HD files and there was lots of lag but no problems over a 1Gbit connection

Thank You 🙂 Just got to ask though, when does the OVA take place ? After or before the end of the serie ? (didnt watch the OVA yet)

23. Both of them take place before the end of the series.

24. Back story OVAs! Jeez, Chamber. You did scared the daylights outta me. I like the second OVA better since
it tells you how did Striker’s Cult were formed in the first place. Even he did enforced the Alliance’s doctrine, he tried not to “purge” anyone who are infected with endemic as suggested by Striker. After Linaria succumbed to her illness and unable to save her, everything gone south at that point. Damn you, Striker.
25. Man, Urobuchi sure likes his “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”

26. with all that tech, it’s hard to believe the disease is incurable… kinda takes me away from the immersion… but either way, great stuff

Just wondering; if you take requests from the fans or not… If you accept; would like to make a sub for this “Suisei no Gargantia: Meguru Kouro, Haruka OVA 2” please? [ =
Thanks a lot ^_^
