Well, looks like subbing this took way longer than expected. I’ll spare you all from the myriad reasons why, but now that we’ve worked out a few things regarding the subbing process, we’ll aim to release within a day after it airs in Japan from now on, hopefully.
Please enjoy!
P.S.: Apparently relevant™ (explicit content).

  1. Thank you guys for the release. Also I heard crunchyroll will be doing chuunibyou. Does that mean you guys arn’t going to do it?

  2. Thanks a lot, I’d wait whatever time you’d need to release your version, by the way, nice song, made my day.

  3. Just wanted to pop in to say I appreciate the subs. Take however much time is needed, I’ll wait for the quality =).

  4. I kinda think it would be better to just call it Seitokai Yakuindomo S2. In my aggregated torrent feed I’ve reformatted the title to “[UTW] Seitokai Yakuindomo Bleep – 2×01 [h264-720p][E8DF28A8].mkv” – torrent clients (like uTorrent) can pick it out by season and episode.

If you’d called it S2 that would have happened automatically – instead I needed to put in an override. I have to do that for a lot of second and later seasons …

  5. I don’t like the new voice actor for Tsuda. He sounds wimpy.
On the other hand, Mitsuba’s voice actress is back! I loved her on season one.
All in all, I missed SYD.

  6. Did you feel it was funnier if the Engrish was left intact? I noticed Crunchyroll “translated” it to be more readable, but you guys left it intact.

  7. fuck me. just accidently deleted 1.81 TB of files with only 500 gigs on the side. 1 hr going through list, 3 hours for recovering, another hour for sorting and another hour for checking most important files for corruptions..
oh well, atleast I sorted out the crap I won’t watch again, I got space again yay lol.. Also recovered Seitokai that I haven’t watched yet, you guys better be grateful!
    go finish nisemono

  8. I like the “explicit content”
Take your time I have a back log of several days worth of anime that I can watch. Whomever dares to complain should just go learn Japanese themselves.
    Thanks for the anime.

  9. Hooray! It’s dirty as usual!
Can anyone help me with finding the OVA’s? Although I still think they are still untranslated.

  10. @jimmy
CR just translated the Japanese subtitles the show had during the parts where they were speaking Engrish, which were most likely written first and then badly translated into the English you could hear. Needless to say, they made a lot more sense when translated by someone who actually knows English. They did miss the Nausicaa reference, though.

  11. After watching this release, I’d like to express both my appreciation and condolences to your typesetter(s).
Also, for future batch considerations, you wrote “becovering” as one word in the next episode preview.

  12. You know, there are different asterisk designs that can be used in filenames, since they’re just miscellaneous symbols. Try using “*”.

  13. @thewizardninja: Extended symbols in filenames tend to cause problems on some operating systems and break xdelta patches on Windows. It’s best to stick to ASCII.

  14. Thank you guys SO much! I love you guys to begin with, and it was looking for a bit like Horrible was gonna be the only ones doing this. They’re far from the worst out there, but you guys are infinitely preferable!

  15. After watching the first episode, the typesetter has my compassion. On top of the abundance of signs like in S1, they went crazy with the various “Suzu-Head” signs in S2, yet UTW’s subtitled signs for those were done spectacularly. Kudos to that.
Thanks for the release, and I’m glad UTW has decided to do this regardless of any simulcast, given the amount of signs it has.

  16. My first comment on this website. I am so happy I waited for you gaiz to sub this because I was astounded on how amazing u subbed everything in this 1st episode. You gaiz are amazing! =D
    Fuck yea, SYD!

  17. The jokes made much more sense in the UTW version over the Crunchy (example being the “where have you been all morning one”), I think I’ll wait for UTW next time.

  18. feels like every time theres an english spoken sequence in anime. They are trying to make fun of us D8<

  19. Strange. This is the first time, an anime subbed by you just does not get to me at all.
But I will look forward to the next animes next season though. Keep it up! ^^

  20. This may be wrong place to ask but anyway, what was the final decision, are you guys doing Chu2 Ren or not. Please tell me you are, please.

  21. YO I love this show and this episode is no exception. Not sure whether it’s only on my end, but opening the show on MplayerX on OSX Mavericks doesn’t work properly with versions past 10.0.17. Again, not sure if this is an issue but it could be.

  22. Pulled from Mezashite’s website-
Edit: FTW (FFF/UTW, which is basically URW from season one) is apparently going to do it, so we don’t feel obligated to do it ourselves anymore. Personally, I’m looking forward to watching the gg/URW sub war from the first season continue in the form of Commie/FTW. Instead, we’re doing Sakura Trick (I think).

  23. This will not play with MPlayer X (1.0.21) on OS X 10.9.1 (Mavericks). So to answer dasd, no it is not on your end. Neither episode will play for me.
