Here’s the Accel World EX02 special! Definitely a fun watch if you enjoyed the series.
__ar decided that he’d do 1080p encodes of the two specials, so you can grab them from the link above. Hopefully I’ll find the time to QC a few more Accel World episodes so the BD groups using our scripts can make some progress.
I’m hoping to get the batches for both Accel World and Sword Art Online out before the next season starts, but this will be subject to my IRL workload and, perhaps more importantly for the latter, whether my teammates also find time to do the batch work. It’s late, I know, but late is better than never!

    Had this same problem with the last Carnival mp4. The audio/video is out of sync. Oddly enough I can play the Minami-ke mp4s without any issues whatsoever using the same player. Anyone know what the issue might be here? Thanks as always for the release.

    After taking a closer look its not the audio/video out of sync. The problem seems to be the subs appearing 3-5 seconds before the audio and video. A couple seconds into the OVA, Cyan Pile turns to see Lime Bell falling, and then he calls her name. On my playback, he turns, the subtitle reading “Bell!” appears below, then she falls (her screaming in sync) and calls her name (where the Bell subtitle should have been). I think I figured out how to sync audio/video but that isn’t the case. How do I sync subs to audio? I’m not very familiar with mp4s, aren’t subs hardcoded like avis? Anyone else having this problem? Thanks again.

    A closer example is that if there were a character in an anime called ‘Akazukin-chan’ or ‘Nemuri-hime’, that would be represented in English subtitles as ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ or ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Conversion of meaning, rather than preservation of sounds. (Come to think of it, that may in fact have happened in ‘Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi’.)
    …when a term has originally been translated from English–as with katakana loan words–there exists the shortcut of being able to reverse it perfectly, eliminating rather than adding any translation errors involved, rather than having to convert piecemeal…
