I thought the mid-batch would be delayed but apparently not but apparently it still was, so here we go! Big thanks to kojika, xgraphy and any others who helped me find/fix problems for the batch. We also fixed some other stuff, I don’t remember what anymore but the main ones were Victorica?Victorique, Glaviel?Grevil, World War?Great War and some bad wording. To make up for the lack of Ep15 pic in the last post, here is one!
Also there are no encode fixes. This is purely script+font fixes so every episode can be patched easily.
I’m still undecided on XviD because it’s a lot of work re-encoding 12 eps. If I do decide to do it, it won’t be for a couple of weeks or maybe even longer. It’s basically a matter of when time permits.
Patches Note:
Extract the contents of the rar to the same directory as episode 01-12, run the batch file, it will create files with the tag (Batch) in their filename, you can delete the originals after this. I didn’t add a delete function just to be safe because it’s 12 episodes. Also there’s nothing stopping the people who dont like (Batch) in their filenames from simply just renaming the files or changing it to v2/v3/etc. I did this for ease of the patchers and I’ve been watching Moshidora so I thought I would attempt to innovate (?).
arEdit: (08/05/2011) Looks like the timing of one line in ep04 got messed up somehow, so just grab the Ep04 Fix Patch and run it on the Batch Version of Ep04. It will only work on “[Victorique]_Gosick_-_04_(Batch)_[h264-720p][C25F52DD].mkv”.
Huzzah, although I’m not quite sure if I like the (Batch)…
Go away~ Don’t make my life any harder than it is. Also, you’ll get used to it or you can rename the files. Do what you please once you’ve downloaded them. It’s to distinguish the difference between patched files and original.
Does the episode 1 patch work on 1v2? Thanks for all your work on this series.
Bring back Victorica!
Just a note: you may have to open a command prompt, navigate to the folder where the files are inside of it, and then execute the .bat from the command prompt for it to do the patching. Otherwise, the .bat may open a command prompt window for only a split second before closing its self; if this happens, the patch won’t be applied.
xdelta3: using default output filename: [Victorique]_Gosick_-_01_(Batch)_[h264-720p][253172D2].mkv

For example, why not just name it v3 ?(???)?
In any event, I’d rather have patches with screwy names than download the complete files again or no fixes at all.

@People-complaining-about-something-as-silly-as-filenames
Because adding v2/v3/etc to batches is just ugly. If it was one or two files sure, but considering every episode was remuxed it just looks dumb. That’s my humble opinion. I could have simply done unmarked files, but at least this way it’s easier for the guys patching.
@Jerl
I added a timeout to the end of the batch so it should pause before closing. I can’t remember if timeout.exe is in Windows XP, I’m pretty sure Vista has and Win 7 definitely does.
@Anonymous
Nuh uh.
@jayc
Yeah it works for the ep1v2. The patches are for the latest current releases of each episode.
the patch does not work on ep 1v2; so I just patch ep 2 to 12 and re download ep 1 to get the batch version; anyway, thanks UTW ! good work !
@Robert
There was a re-patch for ep1v2, you can try this, it’s a revert and update to final v2 patch.

@ar : awesome ! thanks a lot ! *goes downloading the patch*
I can only get episode 1 to work. Any help?
@rainstrife
Make sure your files don’t have spaces ” ” instead of “_” .
There are no spaces, I renamed episode 2&3 back to the default name and it still won’t work.
Thanks a lot. Im patching as i type. had to redo ep 1 tho cause i didnt have the v2 so ive downloaded the patch to get that to v2. Thanks again for the great releases
@rainstrife
I don’t know how to help you because:
1) you haven’t told me what is actually wrong, it won’t work doesn’t tell me anything. give me details or I can’t help you.
2) it works for me and most others, so see #1.
hmmm… who is that girl in the pic?? from what serie?? \(@.@)\
@ panjooel
As the release post states, the picture is from Episode 15 😀
Can I please get an ETA on the next Amagami BD release? I’ve been checking the site every day like a faggot for the past 3 weeks and it’s driving me insane.
@ Panjooel
Its Victorique’s mother
@PuddiPuddi
Next week sometime, ie. When we have time to do it. Won’t till mid week at the earliest.
For my fellow Linux users, here’s a shell script to do the job of the batch file: http://pastie.org/1867810
You’ll need xdelta3 installed for it to work.
why using file names check instead of crc check? ìf I’m not mistaken, patchers can do that?
*googling crc to get old file names*
Thanks for patches
I’m an idiot though.. Instead of using my Bulk Rename to rename all files into the same scheme back, I google every CRC of the old file to get the old file name hahaha… oh god, I’m so stupid xD
Screw patches.
Faster to just get the whole batch again. Jelly?
@ar
Ok cool.
Hey, UTW
Are those Aria releases on TT yours? The ones with the other name? Or are they unofficial? Seems almost like a fake joint.
When batching, all files changed apart from 1v2 and 7, although I see several comments about 1v2, is this correct for 7 as well? Or should I do a manual update on these?
all eps from 1-12 changed when i patched
“I’ve been watching Moshidora so I thought I would attempt to innovate (?).”
The patch isn’t going to BSoD on me, is it…? <.<
@Player^Angel
No. Impossible. Gosick doesn’t use such eloquent fonts unfortunately lol.
Thanks for the batch guys. I heart ya! <3
Why not just make the XviDs at the end of the season in one big batch?
ar; You will be doing the Blu Ray when it’s out right?
After updating via patch, batch ep 4 @13:54 is missing Avril’s (fake) line “Yes, Kujo is giving me a tour of the academy.” This line is displayed correctly in your original and was taken from there. Thanks for subbing this series, have found no other quirks with the batch but 1v2 needed re-download
watching through the batch, found an error.
episode 4: @ 13:53, mistimed sub
Thanks guys.
No idea how that happened, but whatever. Grab the patch I linked in the post and that will fix it. Just run on it on the already patched batch Ep04 mkv.
Right in the first episode at 03:22 it says “After the end of that last world war,”.
Not sure if they called it a world war back then, but I guess that’s possible.
What bugs me is that “last”. It sounds like they know there is gonna be another one soon.
Is this correct?
Did I miss fixing that one? lol thought I got all the world war references. Oh well I’ll fix it for the end of series batch I guess.
For the Ep04v2, I got the following-
Patching Batch Ep04 to Ep04v2…
xdelta3: using default output filename: [Victorique]_Gosick_-_04v2_(Batch)_[h264-720p][C4567BCA].mkv
xdelta3: using default source filename: [Victorique]_Gosick_-_04_(Batch)_[h264-720p][C25F52DD].mkv
xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT
Failed.
I had followed the instructions.
Batch for ep 1-12 works fine for me.
The result is a video file with the 04v2 name which is only 16MB.
Can you please help me?
Erm, could you add the v2 of ep2 to AniDB? I can’t add it to mylist.
Ugh, I meant ep4, can’t edit lol.

Linux (bash) batch script:
http://pastie.org/private/8dey7ldwdezjqiymcnvcoa
Oops, wrong post. That’s for the 13-24 batch.
For some reason, the batch patch comes up with “xdelta3: source file too short: XD3_INVALID_INPUT”
This only happens for Episodes 2, 6, 7, 10, 11, and 12.
The patched files are all slightly (less than 10) MB smaller than the original.
What am I doing wrong?
Sorry but I can’t seem to find the correct way to patch the files. I put them in the same directory but it just won’t patch. It says that “xdelta3 is not recognized as an internal and external command”. Can someone try help me ?
