For the first time ever, UTW will be streaming the MIKUNOPOLIS concert (subtitles provided by Doremi Fansubs!), and we’re inviting all fans to come and join us for the fun!
The fun begins at 7:00PM EST (-5 UTC) Saturday, February 4th on livestream (the channel will go public at 6:00PM EST) with a special pre-airing, followed by the actual concert. If we’re feeling up to it, we may leave the steam on for the previous concerts (or whatever else we feel like streaming).
Please note that this is stream quality, and you’re welcome to join us even if you decide to watch this on your own computer. We will be using IRC and livestream as our source for communication.
True fans of Hatsune Miku should remember to purchase the blu-ray!

Personally when I watch this I use the NND’s live audio stream, re-sync’d of course. Sounds much better with its beautiful dynamic range. Plus the drums don’t have that crap synth sound to them.

Honestly, I felt that this concert was a little disappointing, not in the performance itself, but how it was received. I enjoyed the original Japanese concert, but I felt that this concert in Los Angeles wasn’t as vibrant in energy. Then some songs were missing, too.
I already have the first concert on Blu-Ray, so I’ll be skipping this, but it’s great for those who have not seen it.

Although I’m not 100% sure it was worth it now that Kusion has permanently rigged my brain so that whenever I try to watch Becoming Your Lover it starts looping that song over and over.

For anyone who missed the event and is too lazy to go torrent it, the livestream should be set to auto-play the stream, but in case it’s not playing Mikunopolis when you’re watching (it cycles through some other concerts/Starcraft 2 clips), if you check the VODs section at the bottom you should be able to view it whenever you want (labeled as “UTW Presents Mikunopolis”).
Was a pleasure to be able to hook you guys up with a better way to stream. Feels nice to be able to give back in whatever small way to a group I’ve been silently leeching stuff from for almost 2 years now. If you ever need access in the future for doing another similar event, I wouldn’t mind in the least (and I’m sure KawaiiRice shares my sentiments). Many thanks.

I missed the Concerts live stream sadly. Watching it with more prople would have been fun.
The concert itself was great too, I cheated a bit and watched it on my own. I was a bit sad Magnet wasnt in the list this time, and surprised Worlds End Dance Hall was in complete english.
Sharron Apple was the digital Diva from Macross Plus, a bit psycho though. Concept wise I guess she would be the mother. Kinda XD
