Accel World – Batch

DOWNLOAD: [UTW] Accel World [h264-720p] [DDL]
Finally managed to finish the batch work for this! It only took me months to do it!
All episodes except for 10, 11, 17, and 23 have been v2’d. I’ve gone back and re-edited episodes 1-9 (the episodes I did not translate) for stylistic and technical consistency. The other episodes were v2’d for stuff like terminology and typo fixes; worth mentioning is the change of the Black Legion’s name to the official romanization of “Nega Nebulas”.
I’ve also included the 720p versions of the EX episodes for “completeness”. No fixes were needed in those, so they’re the same versions as those we previously released.
Enjoy!
P.S.: Gotta rush to class now, so the only method of distro is torrents for now; please bear with the slow speed. I’ll get the bots and possibly DDLs updated later.

One batch down, one more to go… Then hopefully you’ll focus on other shows for next season and Evangelion 3.33 next month…

  2. Ah wow thanks! I was actually slightly disappointing that the Accel world batch had a lower priority than SAO. Good to see this come out first! 😀

  3. This is the TV version, not BD, right?

    Any chance for xdelta3 patches?

  8. UTW is not doing the blu-rays themselves, but FFF is. Using UTW batch scripts.

  9. Woo, thanks a lot! Might re-watch some parts 🙂

  18. Awesome, thanks, UTW!
As I’m not exactly sure where else to ask- what’s with the Tasogare OVA? Will you guys be doing it or should I go grab it somewhere else? Thanks again.

  19. Sorry if this has been answered already, but will you guys (and/or Rori) be doing the chu2koi BD extras?

  23. Nisus on March 22, 2013 at 9:44 pm said:

Whats the deal with translating Kuroyuki-Hime’s name instead of leaving it like the rest of the characters?

  24. Patch files will be uploaded as I get the new files: http://www.mediafire.com/?pde1qidg6386t

  25. @Nisus
    Oh boy this question again!
Because her name is a pun on Snow White, So the best way to represent that is to translate it as Snow Black. because most people watching an english fandub probably don’t know Japanese (ergo why they are watching an english fandub) so they would not catch the Shiroyuki-Hime -> Kuroyuki-Hime pun because they only know Snow white as Snow White

  26. I caught it. Just didnt know if it was like an inside joke or something along those lines.

  27. Thank you for the patches, eng!

    I love you, eng

  29. No problem.
I feel bad for people with low ISP quotas. The size of v2s: 9.4GB, the size of patches: 2.7 MB

No. We don’t update SD, would require re-encoding every episode so that won’t happen.

  36. @eng : how to apply the xdelta patch?
can anyone give the .bat file?

The .bat file is in there.

    I couldn’t use that BillionsUploads.com link, so I did my own: http://www.mediafire.com/?a2d89x780os8jhz
The file contains patch.bat, xdelta3.exe and the delta patches from eng (Thanks!). After running it, you will get a bunch of new files (renamed to reflect the new crc). After checking that everything it is in order, you can delete it the old files. Remember that 10,11,17,23 will not have new files generated so don’t delete those!

  44. Chris on March 24, 2013 at 7:50 pm said:

    I marathoned this show.
And I am angry that the writing is so unnecessarily complicated. And soapy. I hate it when intricate technical details are added to the world’s fiction for absolutely zero purpose. And then the details make no sense anyway.
Effing Incarnate System. It’s the power of the human imagination. That’s a cool theme, right? Oh here, are some overly specific requirements and limitations in infodump format! We can’t have our protagonists too powerful!
    *faceplam*
Because having Harayuki just grow his wings back wouldn’t be the simplest way of achieving all those things.

    I go flip tables now.

  46. Chris on March 24, 2013 at 7:58 pm said:

    @Zed
More to the point, her name isn’t actually her real name. It’s an alias. The other characters have, I assume, rather standard Japanese names. Kuroyuki-Hime is more like a fanciful title that her classmates use for her. She’s their “Princess.” It wouldn’t make sense to just translate her name as being just a name.

  47. @Chris
The whole setup is the author’s imagining of what kind of shit hits the fan in an MMO. Intricate technical details are part and parcel of MMOs, there’s no such thing as a casual World Of Warcraft. You can go play Candy Crush for all I care, but just leave aside the ‘intricate technical details”. For that matter law and legal matters are the RL counterparts of intricate technical details, so would you like to clean up the law books to make it wonderfully simpler and easier?
Incarnate System is a name-change for DBZ power levels, I agree. But then tell me, what kind of plot is there left if all I have to do to kill the bad guy is to whip out my ultra-mega-ultimate-unblockable attack at the end? That’ll be simple, right? Why then, is it that only one person is able to use this OP move and presumably no one else who has been playing for a lot longer? If you hate glitchers and hackers in FPS games as much as I do, then this is no different. Every strength must be pared with a weakness because nothing comes for free, not even in the real world. “Grow your wings back”? Okay, so if I amputate your legs tomorrow, you’ll just grow them back again the day after? Or go Blade Runner? Free lunches only exist in Utopia.
More forgiveable is the Kuroyukihime nickname. In the original novel before it got serialised and took off, the author simply slapped her name down as Yukiko Kuroba, or more accurately Kuroba Yukiko to follow Lastname Firstname order. It’s basically no different from a contraction of a name – say, Christopher, and shrinking it to Chris. The -hime part is awkward, but only in English since translation can only push the idea so far. The japanese add suffixes at the end of names to show a rep level of sorts, and -hime simply would be at the same level of “I respect you enough to address you by the nickname you gave yourself.” It’s different from calling someone Princess. What ever subber you used, they deserve a slap if they put it as Princess Snow Black each and every time.
So why are you writing this, I conclude: that you’d prefer a plotline which is far more simpler and easier to digest than one based on a MMO game in the future. I’d like to point you in the direction of Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanjo, Chuunibyoou Demo Koi Ga Shitai, or even Tamako Market if you’re looking for some laughs to put on your face or simple, slice-of-life animes that don’t require much brain cells. From the start to the end, you had the choice to simply quit the series if you truly disliked it though.

  48. @tusjecht
Bluntly, you are wrong and you did not understand what i was saying.
Sword Art Online has intricate technical details, but they never get in the way of the writing or story.
The obvious question you ask when posed with the Incarnate System is . . . why bother with the pretense of a game then? It stops being your MMO story. And why wouldn’t I just twist your head off with telekinesis if it were that simple? And you can hear the writer scrambling to cover for this nonsense when he could’ve just left it at, “the wings are a product of Haruyuki’s imagination . . . the end.” He has to invent more reasons to cover for the other invention.
It’s obvious they’re trying to go for a magic slippers story where they go, “YOU HAD IT IN YOU ALL ALONG.”
And that’s kind of what happens with Dusk Taker being unable to steal Cyan Pile’s sword.
The logical direction to take the story is that the jetpack that Haruyuki is given are the magic slippers.
The Incarnate System is there to falsely heighten the drama and adds nothing to the story. Nouma is still a believable threat without it. You can still have Haruyuki meet the eccentric mentor and train on the mountaintops. You add nothing to the story except soap opera nonsense by going “Incarnate System LOL.” It completely breaks the whole premise of the show and is redundant to the fact that the avatars are already a psychological representation of the human characters that use them.

  49. I must also add that that the Incarnate System was never portrayed as a glitch or a hack, but as esoteric and privileged knowledge that was deliberately added to the game. So no, it doesn’t even serve to emphasize that the villain is any kind of cheater.

  50. oh yes, i definitely support the idea of higurashi aswell =)
The others are good picks regardless aswell.
