Just in time for XDCC. 🙂
Is it just me or does everyone still get a kick for the OP after 23 episodes?

2. Second!

3. Oh Saten…
Well I respect the fact that she doesn’t want to be laying around not looking tough when it’s time for a showdown. Someday Capacity Down will strike again and when it does she’ll be there XD.

4. Obligatory I love you.
I love you.

5.
Trying to bludgeon the scientist to death with her bat. She didn’t had the chance to do it in the movie.
:3

All Raingun OP/ED are awesome.
I hope it will be used in a big ass fight like it was the case in the first season’s finale.

12. Thanks for the release.

Saten is the glue that holds this team together, how dare you question her usefulness!
Thanks for the release. Going to be lost when we’re finished… Bring on Railgun…T?

14. Thanks! 😀

15. Smash expensive equipment. It worked for her before.
Barring that, she’ll just flip skirts.

I don’t recall seeing what Congo’s freinds can do (I’ve only watched the original Railgun series besides S, and that was a long time ago. I never watched Index, and never plan to). Beyond the Saten and the bat the fight I’d be most interested in seeing (from a whimsical standpoint) is: what will be done with that kick board!?!

17. CaptainJistuce on September 21, 2013 at 2:22 pm said:

The return of the baseball bat of love, justice, and blunt force trauma!
@anime fan: from the Railgun comics, short-hair can control water. Hydrokinesis is pretty straightforward(and makes that thermos she’s carrying oh-so-very scary). Long-hair can control bouyancy. A more subtle power, with multiple apparent effects. The two work well together.
If I recall, they got to use their powers every-so-briefly earlier in this season, but it was a blink and miss it thing. But next week? Hell hath no fury like a Tokiwadai student scorned.

18. Oh man that forgotten plot point (clover) from ten episodes ago.
If any gate’s going to be broken, it’s the one with Uiharu/Saten. Sure, stick the two people with practically no battle capability together at one gate.
Or the one with Mii. There’s only so much you can do alone with x-ray vision.
And then they stick three level 4s with battle capability at one gate. 😐

They’re using a ganking strategy; first to destroy the other’s base wins!

20. Thanks again for the release!

21. So does that make this the second to last episode, or is Railgun S supposed to be a full 25/26?

Lol… thanks so much for the episode!
Have a great night!

23. Thanks for the release.
However, the video is locking up all throughout the final credits sequence. I think you have an encoding error.

24. Thanks! ^.^

I have the same issue as void and MPythonFC.
And if I restart the video and try to skip to a point after it’s lock up, it locks up again after a few seconds.

29. Saten will rule, just wait.

@Void @MPythonFC @Stuart44 No problems on my end. Maybe file integrity error? Run a CRC Check. I’m running Kawaii Codec Pack so I’m not sure if that works better or not.

@ Void and @Monty Python’s Flying Circus. I had no problems, so I don’t think its an encoding issue. I used Kawaii Codec Pack (aka KCP). Perhaps give that a try, and see if it works for you.

@ Void and @Monty Python’s Flying Circus.I forgot to ask. Are/Were you watching the 720 sub or the 480? My no problems was with the 720 version, so you may be right if you were both using the 480 while those of us with no problems were using the 720.

35. I’ve checked both the 720p and 480p and both are fine. Check your files crcs if you have problems.

36. SeraphSword on September 22, 2013 at 4:55 am said:

Just like to add that I had the same problem as Void and the others. I was using the 720p release, with VLC player. VLC player seems to be the culprit for me because I was able to run it fine with Media Player Classic.
Thanks for the release!

37. STUDY is retarded as fuck on September 22, 2013 at 9:01 am said:

so let me get this strait
they can afford 20 fucking thousand of these mechs that probably cost god knows how much each
yet…
they can only afford to give them giant wrenches as weapons?
fuck that, if money was an issue should have got 10k of them with fucking mini-guns and rocket launchers as arms

38. Lovengeance on September 22, 2013 at 10:19 am said:

Like some other people, the 720p version does lock up in the credits in VLC. It is quite annoying as it does screw the whole VLC.exe up! Thanks for the upload anyways, 480p works fine.

39. Showdown 😀
I thought the fps is so high near the ending that my computer can’t take it.
Just like in Kono Naka ni Hitori Imouto ga Iru’ (720)’s opening (at the start where it is passing in the hallway). Is it really an error or just the video is so high quality that my computer can’t take it.

40. The stuttering issue with the credits seems to be related to the song-lyrics here, stutters every time it loads a new line, no issues with subtitles disabled.

41. Revelations on September 22, 2013 at 11:41 am said:

They probably have hidden weaponry. Although that doesn’t make STUDY any better as a villain. They’re just throwing a temper tantrum because Big Daddy Academy City is playing favorites.

I was using the 720p version with VLC. player and yeah, what Hakase said is correct.
I disabled the subtitles and everything worked perfectly so it’s related to the kareoke.

44. Sochikuta on September 22, 2013 at 12:49 pm said:

Wow…first time got this right after release. Amazing work as always!!
@STUDY is retarded as fuck: if they didn’t take into account the fact that over 9,000 clones are gonna back Misaka up, I’m pretty sure “retard” is the kindest word anyone can offer.

45. STUDY relies on mass number and the Academy City administrative keep a tight lease on Anti-Skill since they have the firepower to stop those drones. Also, I think they pooled their resources on developing Chemicoloids, it’s lot cheaper and equipped the robots with heavy weapons might tip off the Japanese Government. After the Level 6 Shift being shutdown, the City cannot guarantee those shipments will slip under Police/JDSF radar.
Either way, we gonna see lotsa of ass kicking in the Finale.

46. @Cyou: Mii is wearing her red jacket … I don’t think she’s going to be alone. 😉

47. anime fan on September 22, 2013 at 11:36 pm said:

I don’t know what her wearing a red jacket signifies (as far as her connections). Guess I’ll have to rewatch the original Railgun anime to see if something like that is revealed in it.

48. @anime fan
Mii wearing the red jacket signifies that she’s into this at her own accord. She was a gang member and having a love interest with the group leader before coming clean and joint Judgement.

49. @Shadow: Touche, but I’m not sure how much help they can be in this fight.
@STUDY is retarded as fuck: I’m pretty sure Japan’s gun laws would make that absurdly hard. Limited numbers, maybe (see Accelerator, Big Spider), but 10k would be pushing it more than a little. Not to mention the possibility that those robots can’t use guns in the first place.

50. @Cyou I agree current japanese gun laws are fairly prohibitted you introduce the clear counter example. The level up program equipped each battle ready sister with at least 1 gun even if we assume they only got them immediately prior to fighting he still fought and killed over 10k. While some guns were probably reused Accelators increasingly violent overkill tendencies would’ve destroyed most of them. So while 10k guns might seem hard to get into japan right now they series has already proved that acedemy city get’s what acedemy city wants lol.
Really almost nothing is too fantastic to be implausible in this series. But 10k robots with friggin lazers attached to their heads against a couple level 4s a level 5 and a couple of basically powerless highschool girls especially when the side with the robots has the authority in their pocket wouldn’t have made for good story let alone a battle that could be wrapped up in less than a year during which time half the city gets destroyed

51. mianghuei on September 24, 2013 at 5:55 am said:

My question though is if Academy City is an independent nation inside Japan like Vatican and San Marino is in Italy. They may have different gun laws.

52. @mianghuei
Probably the Japanese Government had gazetted Academy City autonomy on field related to science and technology R&D and esper development programs as long as it doesn’t violate science ethics and taboo (which is not the case as most of the amoral experiments are run behind the scene; outside the reach of the Government). I think they didn’t not allow any civilian to carry firearms except for Anti-Skill and small faction of elite guards/PMC that are guarding the City key installations. As the most of the population are made up of students attending Esper Development Curriculum, it’s logical the City have strict laws on weapons and firearms.

53. Please, Saten. Who do you think you’re going to fuck?
I’ll gladly offer myself there 😀
Anyway, thanks for the subs 😀

54. @Cyou
I’m PRETTY sure that Japanese…ANY laws have about as much as a hold on academy city that a sheet of rice paper does holding down a bear
…for obvious reasons
but really tho, your also forgetting one simple fact that was mentioned in this episode…THEY manufacture most of ANTI-Skills stuff now, so if anti-skill has it then THEY have it…and if they already have the manufacturing planets to make the small arms that means they have shipments of gunpowder…the correct metals…ect…they can just re-purpose the plants to build their over sized mech weapons
I don’t think the tech challenge is too far beyond them if they are capable of creating sentient life forms

55. @AMg
I like the government’s logic on that, firearms are dangerous so no one should carry them
but lets give elementary school kids the powers of a vengeful ancient god, that seems like a good idea

56. @^
That’s the irony of the gun law. I think it’s more to protect the law-abiding civilians from psychopath, dangerous delinquents and Skill-Outs. Esper with firearms is more dangerous than the ones that relies on his/her ability to cause trouble regardless the power level. Think Bioshock and you will get the picture.

57. Tim Frierson on September 25, 2013 at 12:47 am said:

…any chance of a v.2 release-there is a glitch in the mkv that makes the ed unwatchable-deadfish’s mp4 ver of your release does not have the problem(d/l’d it twice on different days-same glitch in same place on two separate comps).
And before I forget, thank you for all the hard work you do…

58. Recall STUDY’s position in comparison to (I believe it is) MEMBER’s. Gensei is respected and allowed far more leeway compared to the black sheep of STUDY. You have to realize that STUDY’s pretty much going against Academy City here – they’re not supported by the board of directors. Their whole project’s to prove how they’re correct.
They’re part of the darkness, but compared to Accelerator and Gensei, they’ve got nothing. Gensei’s got free rein. In comparison, if they tried to cart around 10k guns, they’d get noticed fast.
However, the most likely reason is still that the robots can’t use them. A check tells me that’s likely. Diffusion Ghost apparently fills a hollow space and controls the robots that way. So any technology attached to the robot’s unuseable.
On another note, the ban for the firearms is most likely due to their ease of use in comparison. Much more people with firearms compared to significantly damaging esper powers.

59. Tsukurite on September 25, 2013 at 4:14 am said:

@Tim Frierson
I got the same thing happening with my file and apparently it’s caused by the subtitles since I somehow got it running again and vlc automatically disabled the subtitles for me to make it run properly.

60. @AMg
true, as shown by the fact that even accelerator carries a pistol now due to his time limit
but lets face it, once you reach a certain level, bar any limitations like acc has now, a guy is well…beneath you lol
I mean unless your ability allows you to carry around a 105mm howitzer, no portable firearm can really match the ability to teleport…simply because you can use your ability like a firearm only there’s zero travel time and literally pinpoint precision
mile long short having to account for wind, ect…thats nice
I just teleported a hand grenade into his skull from (lest theoretically say a lvl5 teleport can go anywhere, just need to see the person to “snipe” them) from my couch watching from a spy satellite
or you know, to use an actual lvl5 as an example…Gunha…who needs a pistol when you can just will the laws of physics out the door
its like his power is literally “plot armor”
actually come to think of it, that’s EXACTLY what his power is…its a purposefully, flamboyantly done, example of plot armor

61. @^
Even Accelerator had a time limit of 15 minutes, he basically overpowered anyone and everything that trying to pursue/kill him within that limit. As long as he knows the limits and acts accordingly, he will be okay.
@Cyou
True, the City administrative not fully “protect” STUDY, they only keep Anti-Skill out of their way (probably Anti-Skill’s higher-ups since STUDY is their main contractor for their equipments). I think the situation will change when they initiate their grand experiment aka revolution. The whole shit will be on them after Misaka and Co. deal half of their drones.

66. I see. My bad. I though it was the movie broken into parts.

67. I’ve uploaded a modified version of the subtitles which replaces the \blur tags with the closest equivalent \be tag. Could those of you having issues with the subtitles try it out?

What’s she gonna do? She’s gonna fuck up those robots with a baseball bat, like a mutha fuckin’ bawse.

70. After further investigation, I’ve determined that it’s a combination of high-strength blur with vector clipping that is causing the problem.
In the ending, all the vector clipping can be replaced by rectangular clipping, which fixes the problem for me.
I’ve produced a new version of the subtitles which changes any vector clipping that is actually a rectangle with a rectangular clip. This fixes the problem for me. The fixed version is at:
