I’m pretty sure I guessed more or less the whole why and how things happened…but still I so F***ing hate that kind of story! Dammit I knew I should have waited at least for next epsiode!!!! At least so I could have the end of the story to cling to…
I dunno why, but since episode 1, I loved this anime….And thanks to this episode, kinda makes me wanna beat the crap outta the author….but gotta admit, thanks to that “thing”, the story got even more intriguing than it already was 😛

The most logical explanation for this is that [spoiler]she called her brother and told him to meet at the rooftop of the school. An extra bonus would be that they shared some kind of memory together at the rooftop [cut scene to flashback]. [Scene cuts back to current time, school rooftop], she confronts brother, he gets pissed, lifts her up in the air, shouts “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT THE F**K I’M GOING THROUGH, YOU WH*RE,” and tosses her off the rooftop.[/spoiler]

I didn’t find it that forced, maybe a little rushed. This was a good episode. They were all in character. Just the result felt a little unexpected due to the rushing, but almost all the episodes have been rushing aside from the last two episodes. I was expecting something bad to happen (as there was hints in every scene she appeared, how disturbed she was, even in some of the scenes before this episode), just didn’t expect it within this episode itself.

thise anime season is throwing a lot of unexpected deaths at us. things in blood c were so random, now this… real life provides all the teen suicides and random deaths i need to know about.

My guess at plot development: (Don’t blame me if I’m right, I already get pissed off at myself for guessing movie ending as it is.)

The brother is a main distributor of the drug, his friend (i.e. the botanist – big hint prbly) is the one making the drug.
Ayaka is being coerced (by brother?)into growing the plant used to make the drug (in the rooftop greenhouse), but only realized what the plant was for after learning her brother was a drug addict.
Even if she did know it was for drugs, that was the first she learned her brother was a user.
At the very end the “That place is…” Ayaka may have also thought that Narumi was on to her.
All this was coupled with the fact there was a good chance of her being exposed during the culture festival preparations…
But that isn’t why she jumped – I think that it’s why she took the drug, she decided to jump because she was under the influence.

[spoiler]I see pretty much nobody’s been reading the manga then, or else this wouldn’t have been as much of a surprise. This happened even before the start of the manga’s timeline (episode 2 of the anime), although the exact details haven’t been mentioned yet as far as I’ve read.
I was actually surprised when she made it through the first few episodes of the anime, to be honest. Of course, the manga is a little darker all around (for example, Meo was getting married to her “father” (actually step-father).[/spoiler]
Well, I’m not watching this show anymore.

[spoiler]The story of Ayaka, her attempted suicide and following coma, was in volume ONE of the novels. Anime so far skipped that part, went into subsequent volumes only to return to Ayaka now.
Hint, hint: we saw her in what we know to have happened after the jump and coma… so what do you think will happen?
Of course, if they left it untouched for so long, they could change it – I’ll rage hard if they do.[/spoiler]
That said, moving this particular arc will sure mean things end with a bang, and changes you see in Narumi make more sense when we could see the link between the two establish. All depends on if they plan to follow the novels with this, or not.

Okay, so i raged and i calmed down, so i googled around and found out that in the original light novel Ayaka jumped from the building and went into coma, after that she regain consciousness but suffers amnesia and does not remember anything about Narumi. Hopefully the anime follows this plot. I really can’t accept Ayaka’s death.

The key is in whether that “smile” phrase was a past thought or one made later on in the night. (I didn’t think anything of it until rewatching that part a week later)[/spoiler]

Dang, in the 1/3 part of the episode, I fell sorry for Ayaka for having such a burden, well what can I say? She’s a good girl, cheerish, innocent.
In the 2/3 of the episode, I felt good again because seems like she’s back to her old self again..
In the 3rd part, I sense something bad after she eavesdropped on tetsu, but things would be better after ayaka smiled on narumi.
But in the end.. WHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
Man, I’m really depressed after watching this episode.. Will watch the next one after have relieved..
