Spring 2011 Plans
Fractale Delayed…
…again. We’ve pretty much (temporarily) lost our .ts source for this show since the Sendai quake, so we are now completely at the whims of the Share/PD uploaders. A .ts still has not appeared on either at the time of this post, so it’s extremely unlikely that we’ll release by tonight (US time). With any luck, we’ll have it out by tomorrow.
And damn that cliffhanger…
KUSION EDIT: And to those asking, we’re almost done with Vol.2 of the Index blu-rays! Just in time for Vol.3, right? We should have them good to go by Monday or sometime next week.
(Yes, Raze, I just stole your Fractale spot! AND I made it my category! ‘Sup, bro!)
AR EDIT: I jacked Kusion’s jack. I am god! On a side note, we aren’t going to sub the GOSICK special because it’s stupid and terrible. It is 50% recap, 50% talk show. Nobody wants to do this. CR didn’t do it either and hell I don’t blame them. tl;dr Episode 11 airs next week. No GOSICK until then.
(I might cut a couple of parts out of it that are interesting (Interview with the author + Ep11 Extended Preview) and make an abridged special out of them.)

Due to “overwhelming” demand, I’ve finally gotten off my lazy ass and present to you the batch torrents for our Bluray releases of Angel Beats! and B Gata H Kei.
This is a heck ton of gigabytes we’re having to seed here and I’m using only one seedbox for this, so expect the torrent to be slooowww. You do have the option of using our separate Bluray release torrents or the DDL links we have provided, though.
As for batch changes:
- Angel Beats! – Episodes 1-4 have been v2’d for an ED fix. The “Making of Episode 2” extra has also been renamed to what it actually is: “Toro Station (Weekly Magazine)”.
- B Gata H Kei – Episode 12 has been v2’d to fix the dialogue font.
Oh, I do hope you like the rather adorable Yui image __ar picked out for this post.
Edit (10/03/2011): Patches for AB 720 added.
Amagami SS BD Vol.8-9

DOWNLOAD H.264 720p: [UTW] Amagami SS – 15-18 [BD][h264-720p AC3] [DDL]
And this time round we have:
- Episodes 15-18 (Second half of Ai arc and first half of Rihoko arc)
- Creditless Ai arc OP2 theme and Ai ending theme
Ai didn’t even appear in her own extra scene; doesn’t make ep16 any less delicious though. Then there’s the first two episodes of the childhood friend arc… >_<

Sakuranbo Syndrome
Nope, this isn’t a release, but I’d like to take this opportunity to recommend to you all a masterpiece of a manga I have been hopelessly hooked on for the last few days: Sakuranbo Syndrome, by the mangaka Taku Kitazaki. It is a Seinen manga of the Romance/Drama/Comedy genres with some explicit content.
I picked up Kono S wo Miyo (also an awesome series in its own right) from the same mangaka one night and simply could not put it down, reading all five available volumes at the expense of my sleep (the sixth is apparently due sometime this March). A couple days later, hungry for more Taku Kitazaki stuff, I made the “mistake” of deciding to read a chapter or two of Sakuranbo Syndrome right before I was about to go to bed.
A description taken from mangaupdates.com:
“Progressive Rejuvenation Syndrome.” This is an extremely rare disease causing the inflicted person to gradually become younger. The main character of this story, Munenori Agawa, is the only person that could save Rena Amami from this odd disease. Agawa’s saliva is the only thing that can halt the disease from making Rena younger, so they must kiss everyday in order for her to survive. This causes an immense amount of conflict and drama between Agawa and his new girlfriend, Sayako Asou. This triangle relationship story tests the capabilities and limitations of human love.
Kitazaki is a master of taking ridiculous sexual/romantic premises and milking out of them surprisingly realistic stories in which his characters face social issues and grow from their experiences. In Sakuranbo Syndrome, Kitazaki explores mature issues such as what it is to be an adult, the power of destiny, the nature of love, and more, as Agawa, Rena, and Asou interact with each other, the people around them, and the society they live in. The variety of characters, the gripping drama, and the comedy interspersed throughout contribute to this beautiful and very human tale that will keep you wanting more until the very last page.
TLDR: it’s a great manga you definitely don’t want to miss. For Japanese readers, scans of the entire series are available online; for English readers, GantzWaitingRoom has scanlated up to vol.4 as of the date of this post (you can read it online HERE).
EDIT: It’s apparently a huge pain to download Sakuranbo Syndrome from the scanlator’s site, so here are some DDL links.

Alternatively, you can download it via torrent.
Kono S wo Miyo, on the other hand, can be downloaded via torrent.

This was a pretty funny episode.
The encoder is also proud he finally managed to legitimately break the magical 500MB size barrier with this week’s encode. The episode needed the extra bitrate, of course.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that there will be no Fractale next week. And for those of you who celebrate it, have a great Lunar New Year!

Chugging along with the Amagami SS BD releases, here’s volumes 6-7, which contains:
- Episodes 11-14 (Second half of Sae arc and first half of Ai arc)
- Creditless Sae arc opening theme and Sae ending theme
- Creditless Kaoru arc opening theme (we forgot to include this in the last release, so here you go)
And… yeah, no other extras again.
I was hoping Sae’s extra scene to be a 10 years later kinda thing where she’s… you know. Oh well, at least we also got some Nanasaki Bluray goodness.
These releases were delayed as Xack, the encoder, was busy until the weekend. Better late than never, however!

We learn more about the Fractale System in what was a thrilling episode with several shocking moments. And of course, Nessa is by far the best character in this series.
In other news, our site will be going down on Monday (January 31st, 2011) for approximately 24 hours for some maintenance. Rest assured that this is scheduled downtime and not… whatever you may be thinking.

Here’s the rest of the BGata bluray releases! Since we kinda got lazy with volume 5 and see little point in releasing the volumes separately, we’ve bundled the last two volumes up.
And so we had to wait until the very last BD episode to see… what we had hoped the BGata BDs would give us from the get-go. I guess it makes sense since that’s also when Kosuda himself sees it for the first time.
It’s pretty much been just us (Raze and ar) for this whole BD project, but our buddy Akuji-sama over at Ryuumaru stepped in to QC episodes 9 and 10 for us. Thank you!
So that’s another BD project completed. I suppose we’ll batch this up and the Angel Beats! BDs sometime next week.
