And with this we say goodbye to our beloved Index. It’s been a fun run: starting with gg-UTW, moving to solo-UTW, and finishing it off with our buddies for UTW-Mazui. Would we do it again? Sure, why not. We all know there’s going to be a season 3, anyway.

Index has proven to be the biggest clusterfuck project we’ve ever had. We even once had an episode translated by 3 people at once! But all-in-all, it was fun.

We’ll release a batch with v2’s and such later this weekend, and we’ll release blu-ray scripts as they come along (blu-ray scripts being heavily edited, of course).

And, drumroll please, here come staff credits!

Moshiburner (TL/TLC) – What do shoelaces and Kinshomokuroku II have in common? LOOSE ENDS! BAAHAHAHAHAHA–…Sorry. tbh I liked awaki(red-head, move pt) and Accelerator this time around. I’m seriously wondering how long they’re going to keep up with this “nope, we’re not done yet” thing though.  Well, decent s2 overall. fun stuff.
Raze (TL/TLC/Edit/QC) – I pretty much went from TL/edit/QC to edit/QC to just edit to finally doing nothing at all except for releasing, but I’ve gotta hand it over to this ‘ere team for doing such a great job. As for the series itself… it had attractive females all over the place so that helped until the plot finally kicked in towards the end.
Ulrezaj (TL/Edit/QC) – Of all the protagonists I’ve translated for, Touma by far mumbles the most.
Kusion (Edit/Timing/Typesetting) – I really enjoyed working on this shit. I ALSO HELPED MOSHI TRANSLATE THIS ONE EPISODE, IT’S GOOD, TRUST ME.
goof (lazy typesetter who never did a damn thing) – I think this is the show I’ve enjoyed working on the most lately… typesetting a show with barely any signs is the best.
Sindalf (Timing) –  I forgot about Index every week
matt (Encoding) – he’s not around, but here’s an example encode from him: [UTW-Mazui] When will this shit end – 20 [premux_v1][FFEF3745].mkv
Yumi` (old encoder who kept asking if he could troll the encodes)
freya (was supposed to style the OP/ED but never did) – I hate Index, I hate kusion, I hate fansubbing
blakbunnie27 (insert song translator) – lol, no
Suzuku (edited one episode) – Sucks we didn’t get to the good novels until the very end, but meh. Can’t wait till season 3; saint bashing, princess smashing, magical wars, and Accelerator pwnage by the fuckton await. Until we meet next year, sweet prince. ;___;

  3. Great job UTW!
Though I’ve stopped watching in episode 13 (and after that 16) so that I could watch them all at once/ have more time to study.

As someone that knows about the light novel, yes we will look forward for the 3rd season (Maybe we got to see Saten in Index) and there are still plenty of good characters to appear.

Dohoh, oh you Kusion, (unintentionally) trolling by swapping DDLs around.

Thanks for your hard work on this UTW, I’ve enjoyed it. Looking forward to S3!

Thank you all of you at utw even the ones that did nothing.
I hate it when they leave things open ended but hopefully that means well get to see even more of Sparky. I wish they would do another season of her show but that will most likely stay a pipe-dream.

  8. I thank you all for your hard work.

  9. i’ll just wait for the 3rd season…nice work with this one 🙂

UTW/Mazui kicked ass on Index II. If you guys aren’t kidding about stopping, hopefully somebody will come along to pick up the slack for Index III.

Though by that point CR will probably have taken over, and “fansubbing” will have turned into mostly editing CR’s scripts and muxing them with higher quality video. Hell, that’s already happening.

  20. Electromaster on April 2, 2011 at 2:09 am said:

Thanks so much for your wonderful work, UTW (and Mazui)! You two did an amazing job on this Index. 😉 Hope for you two to work together on Index III and Railgun S2, too.

    *Now enters Index withdrawal T_T*

  21. Gosick 11 where!? D:

  24. Thanks for the hard work UTW.

  25. I want more saten san……

  26. Now I want index tan 😀

Also, what do you guys think we’ll get next? Railgun II or Index III?
I hope we do get one of those.

i knew S2 would be end :D, considering the novel pathway..
now i guess s3 will conclude to aru majutsu index and next its coming as index new testasment ^^ (well hope s3 will be ENOUGH for the rest of entry, although its basically still god right seat-arc and esper arc -.-)

hmhmhm can`t wait to see many badass character in next season, woulndt be that surprising if in future new testasment god itself coming out (or touma coming back as god haha)

How well Index II sells on DVD/Blu-Ray will probably determine how J.C. STAFF handles Index III.

If it sells well, they’ll probably do Toaru Majutsu no Index III and then wrap it up with Toaru Majutsu no Index IV.

If the sales are just okay, they’ll probably try and ramrod everything into Toaru Majutsu no Index III and end up making a mess of it. To be honest, J.C. STAFF still might do this EVEN IF Index II’s sales are good.

Many thanks for this whole series guys.

You guys working on this with Mazui was like fansubbing heaven. Both my favourite groups in one place.

  30. Onto Railgun II and then Index III! 😀

Not surprise this show end like this.

How it could end while the light novel still on-going.
Yes….just like Shana, Zero no tsukaima or even Spice and Wolf.

However if these shows happen have low rating…..I think you all know what will happen.

It will bury alive in some where with no doubt….?!

  35. Thanks for a half year of Indeksu, I very liked both the show and your subs. If you’re doing season 3 (I don’t want too wait until it starts!) I will definitely watch your subs if you’re doing it again.
But still there has actually not very much happened, even so it’s a show that you can enjoy very.

thats all I have to say about this season ^^
