It feels great to be back on schedule again. A small delay related to download issues early today set us back by an hour or so, but nothing serious.
And what an excellent episode this was! Queen Tsukasa is proving to be really interesting, and this episode is everything you could want in an Amagami SS episode and more: great jokes, Junichi being the pervert he is, fanservice a la Amagami SS, cameos from previous heroines, and lots of great character interaction.

So here’s a fun little side project we’re doing: the Megane na Kanojo (Glasses Girls) set of OVAs that came out at the end of November. We will be subbing this at a leisurely pace among all the other stuff we’re doing.
There are four episodes, and each episode is 10 minutes long excluding the opening and ending themes. It’s pretty light stuff of the romance/comedy genre and is, of course, about glasses. The girl featured in this episode is Asou Kana, the Senpai of the Literature Club, and… well, I’d be spoiling it for you if I said any more. Give this a try and see how you like it!

Clearly most of you can’t read, so I’ll say this again. We have relaxed our schedules to release Yosuga no Sora on Tuesday nights and not Monday nights. I repeat: Tuesdays and NOT Mondays. Come into our IRC channels asking for an ETA on the show and you will be temporarily banned for being an idiot.
Note the v0 “tag”, indicating we used a Share raw for this release. No 480p because it’s dumb to release a 480p v0 when there are no 480p Share raws around anyway. A v1 will come if a transport stream for this episode ever appears. And no, there won’t be a v0 to v1 patch due to the fact that the v1 will have a new encode. Future Yosuga no Sora releases will probably follow the same pattern: we will release a v0 on Tuesday night if a transport stream is still unavailable.
On that note, I would like to ask anyone who can and would like to provide us with Yosuga no Sora ATXHD transport stream caps (NOT PD/Share raws) to contact me (Raze) or commander`A in our IRC channel. We will love you big time.

And we’ve finally reached the final Amagami SS arc featuring Ayatsuji Tsukasa, which will take us all the way until Christmas.
For an arc opener this was an excellent episode. With a lot of nice things going on (the Rihoko parts made me sad ;_;), the episode ended on a cliffhanger pretty much. The ED I’m loving already; the singing isn’t the best, but it’s a nice song nonetheless.

Apologies for what has been the longest weekly TV release delay in the history of UTW. For those of you who patiently waited for our version, the wait is finally over; please enjoy. For those of you who didn’t, we understand why you’d turn to other sources. Amagami SS withdrawal symptoms are surprisingly severe.
A rough timeline of the delay if you’re interested:
[spoiler]11/18: We grabbed EF’s cap of Amagami SS 20 (yes, we have been (relatively) unaffected by all the drama) and discover the first part of it to be corrupted. We decided to work on it anyway and hoped a Share/PD raw would show up before we all went to bed. It did not.
11/19: A few Share/PD raws popped up overnight, but ar had work, and I had Index II to work on. ar encoded a v0 raw using the intact parts of the transport stream and a PD raw, and I went to bed leaving Kusion to time the script, who agreed to do it even though he had to leave early next morning for a weekend trip with his buddies to NY.
11/20: Turns out Kusion only managed to time 16 minutes of dialogue before fatigue got the better of him. Nikon jumps in to time the rest of the dialogue, fnord begins typesetting, and I begin editing. During this time, a fresh transport stream appears on Share which begins downloading at good speeds. This, compounded with the fact that someone else had already released a subbed version of this episode (and therefore provided those of you who are desperate with an alternative), we decided to forgo releasing a v0 and to wait for the transport stream to finish downloading. A few more hours couldn’t hurt, right? Turns out the download stalled at 92% for the whole evening…
11/21: …all the way until the afternoon of the next day, right after ar went to bed. ar took the day off but had an appointment in the morning. By the time the final encode was finished and uploaded, it was already past midnight where I am.[/spoiler]
This whole ordeal is something none of us want to happen again. To this end, I would like to ask anyone out there who enjoys our releases and is willing and able to provide us with backup transport stream caps (note: not PD/Share raws) to contact me (Raze) on our IRC channel. If you are willing to help but don’t have capping equipment, I am willing to provide them if certain conditions are met; to begin with, you should be situated in Tokyo, Japan, be able to receive TV, and have a fast upload speed.
